NYC-based Knotel matches, tailors and manages workspace for companies all over the world. They take over this process so the businesses can focus on what is important: growth. They handle all the details of designing a workspace, and there are a lot of them, so you don't have to.

Knotel has been recognized not only for providing exceptional service, but also as having an incredibly diverse team and a culture that is conducive to innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity.

On what excites him about working at Knotel, Charlie, Senior Real Estate Manager, said, "Where do I start? Knotel has many incredible teams working on projects from increasing the agility and modularity of our spaces to improving the quality and diversity of our product line to meet the needs of our growing roster of corporate customers. My favorite thing about Knotel is that every employee has ownership of projects big and small."

  • Fly Your Flag: Bring the true you to work every day
  • Don't Look Away: Make every space a home and give the gift of belonging
  • Outcomes, Not Processes: Start every project with goals in mind. Time is too precious to waste.
  • Get Uncomfortable: Embrace the unknown. It's where innovation happens

    The Culture at Knotel

    Passionate, Flexible, Ambitious

First and foremost, the culture at Knotel is built on diversity and inclusion. The company has offices all over the world, and they utilize that as a strength. Knotel encourages cross time-zone and cross-functional work. By working on a global scale, Knotel's culture continues to grow as diverse as the many places that the company works in.

Kwame Spearman, Senior Director of Global Markets, said, "With our global presence, we make an effort to keep all employees as updated as possible, through initiatives such as weekly live-streamed lunch-and-learns, global town halls where department leads give updates and shout-outs to team members and a mental health week with activities spread across the globe."

It is also an incredibly social environment. The Knotel team regularly participates in local events, such as Pride events, volunteering efforts and more. A personality test during the interview process ensures that everyone who comes to work at Knotel is going to not only be a part of the culture but add to it.

"Knotel encourages its employees to socialize during the workday, but also provides fun events and opportunities outside of work for everyone to enjoy. We love hosting themed happy hours, and there's always a Knotel intramural sport you can join," People Operations Program Manager, Rebecca said.

    The Office at Knotel

In the Heart of the Center of the World

Knotel's New York HQ is one of the cooler office spaces you are likely going to see. It is located in Midtown Manhattan, one of the most popular couple square miles in the world. It, of course, comes with all the luxuries of being located where it is -- the restaurants, cafes, bars, culture -- but the office itself is something special as well. Everywhere you look, there are couches, soft chairs, private booths. The company even tests furniture products for furniture vendors in the office's common area. So you might get to test out some new recliner prototype.

"There's room for employees to work alone, hold meetings or host town halls, and the space reflects the flexibility of our company. We often host our members in this area -- they love taking our spaces, which is why we never plan on staying in one place for too long," Project Manager Christina Dadon said.

Dadon went on to say that the kitchen is the most popular area in the office. It is a large, open area that allows for employees to come together. "It becomes a central gathering place during the day and is where we host happy hours and lunch and learns. I often find people enjoying drinks there after work as well," Dadon said.
