Title:
EVA Knowledge Manager
As a member of the EVA, Robotics, and IVA Division, this candidate will be assigned to support NASA Flight Operations Directorate (FOD) International Space Station (ISS) and future exploration programs at Johnson Space Center. After introductory training on ISS and Exploration systems and processes, the candidate will assist in office automation, and the administration and management of sites and data processes related to current and future exploration operations. This task will include managing several realtime and near realtime processes to help flight controllers and crew instructors produce high quality and error-free products for mission operations and training. Data for such processes will come from multiple customers, including those from engineering and safety organizations, science operations and international partners, new technology exploration development areas, etc. The candidate will be required to give technical and high-level presentations to a variety of panels and forums. They will be required to participate in and contribute to group efforts to streamline and upgrade technical and administrative processes.

A Bachelor of Science in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or other technically related area is required. The USSOCOM Knowledge Manager (KM) will be responsible for providing support to HQ SOCOM and all SOF for US BICES-X, assisting the government in executing and developing partner sharing and supporting the day-to-day operations. This will include:
Provide expert analytical advice to the Government on matters relating to classified information sharing with the US and partner nations. This includes analyzing, assessing, and providing recommendations for improving or simplifying command-wide, NSHQ, and/or lower echelon unit processes.
Communicate orally and in writing with groups or individuals, using multiple digital media and transmission means, to collect and convey information.
Work with government stakeholders to identify process gaps and organizational inefficiencies with a focus on optimizing information flow.
Apply analytical methods and techniques to assess the information exchange requirements for the organization using knowledge of strategic documents as well as SOF operations.
Provide technical documentation for each process that includes the policy and/or procedure underpinnings necessary for the Government to publish official documents that dictate processes, procedures, and security requirements associated with each development effort.
Provide user documentation for each new solution delivered. Develop and implement quantitative and qualitative methods for measuring the impact of process improvement and KM initiatives. Work with other Government and Contractor KM personnel to improve processes and disseminate latest information and best practices for SOF interoperability.
