The Towner County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff. A $5,000.00 hiring bonus will be offered, with $2,500 upon successful completion of probation and an additional $2,500 after two years of service. Applicants must be U.S. citizens for at least two years, possess a valid driver's license, be 20 years of age at the time of hire, and are subject to a background check.
Towner County offers a single-member health plan, a public safety retirement account, life insurance through ND PERS, as well as options for vision and dental care. The starting base wage is $52,000 per year (DOE). Deputies also have the opportunity for several hours of federal overtime. Each deputy is provided with a take-home patrol vehicle equipped with an in-car camera and a mobile computer.

Who We're Looking For
We're searching for individuals who are dependable, compassionate, and eager to make a difference. Our ideal candidate will have:
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
A valid driver's license.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to complete training onsite).
Willingness and ability to obtain Medication Assistant I and Nurse Aide certifications.
One year of work experience in a human services or treatment-related setting (preferred).
Willingness to complete Narcan administration training.
