    The Role Kobalt Music is seeking a Director, Client Onboarding to oversee the onboarding of key clients across the business. This pivotal role ensures that clients move seamlessly through the onboarding lifecycle from contract entry to catalog ingestion, copyright registration, and beyond while proactively addressing potential roadblocks. You will serve as the central point of contact for priority onboarding projects, managing complex workflows and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver a world-class experience for Kobalt's clients. This position blends project management, client service, and data analysis, and is ideal for someone who thrives on detail, collaboration, and solving complex challenges. What You'll Do Client Onboarding Responsibilities Conduct pre-deal implementation scoping calls for large client onboardings to define needs, scope, and timelines. Lead post-deal kickoff meetings, outlining key milestones and expectations for internal and external stakeholders. Manage end-to-end project timelines, coordinating across departments to ensure smooth onboarding. Partner with Contract Administration, Copyright, Royalties, and Technology teams to remove barriers and maintain momentum. Review, clean, and analyze large datasets (CWR v2.1/v2.2, catalogue shipments, CIF, .csv files) to ensure accurate data ingestion. Monitor onboarding performance metrics and proactively identify areas for process improvement. Support income tracking and revenue recognition activities across key client accounts. Who You Are Skilled at managing multiple onboarding projects with complex dependencies and cross-functional teams. Comfortable handling large datasets and reconciling client data with precision and consistency. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills with a service-first mindset. Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and data handling; experience with SQL is a plus. Adapts rapidly to new systems, processes, and business priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy. Demonstrable experience in client onboarding, project management, music publishing, or a related field. Strong technical skills in Excel, CSV handling, and data reconciliation. Experience working cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Operations, and Client Service teams. Knowledge of music publishing, royalties, and copyright is highly desirable.
