Maintenance Manager in Training - Protein Conversion/Pet Food MMIT position is a 2-year training program designed for individuals with industrial maintenance superintendent/supervisor experience, which focuses on equipping and developing the skills necessary to become a maintenance manager within the company. This program utilizes the Pilgrims Maintenance Pillar Process. *This position will sit at one of the Pet Food/Protein Conversion facilities listed and travel to others. Pilgrim's Enterprise, AL Hatchery - Laborer Hours: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri - 5:00am-4:00pm Job Duties/Physical Requirements/Dexterity: Hatchery Laborer's are required to wash floats, transport hatcher trays, sanitize separator, sanitize hatcher, set eggs, transfer eggs, and load chicks onto conveyor. Washing floats (buggy) is accomplished by removing hatcher trays from the float, over turning the float to remove debris and rinsing with high pressure hose. The separator is sanitized using a foaming system with sodium hypochlorite and then rinsed with a high pressure hose. Sanitizing the hatcher requires removing fans from the inside of the hatcher, sweeping the floor to remove excess debris, then foaming with sodium hypochlorite and rinsing with a high pressure hose. Setting requires team members to place eggs into the incubators by lifting 10 pound egg trays and placing them into stacked buggies, the eggs are placed from floor level to shoulder level. When transferring eggs, buggies on casters loaded with eggs are pushed to the vaccination table, each individual tray is placed on the table, and then placed back onto the buggy which is then rolled to the hatcher. The team member loads chicks onto the belt by removing chick trays from buggy and placing tray onto conveyor. Physical Requirements: Continuous standing, walking, bending, and reaching Dexterity: Some jobs require pinch grip, back extension/flexion, and/or should extension/flexion. Equipment/Tools/PPE Hearing protection is required in posted areas, slip resistant shoes are required in all areas, steel toe shoes are required during set and transfer, and cotton gloves are optional to be used as needed by team member. On the job training: 1-2 weeks Working Conditions: Conditions are wet and humid during sanitation process. Key Responsibilities * Review and select the correct production order using a touchscreen computer. * Collaborate with line feeders to ensure proper product flow. * Inspect packages for defects/correct and accurate label placement. * Pack the correct number of packages into each box according to product requirements. * Use a foot pedal to advance completed boxes down the line. * Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area. * Follow all safety and quality guidelines. Qualifications * Basic computer skills, including navigating and selecting orders on a touchscreen system. * Ability to lift at least 15 pounds. * Strong attention to detail, especially when verifying order numbers and label accuracy. * Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (45°F). * Ability to distinguish numbers and ensure accurate counts. * Good vision for checking label placement and quality. I&E Specialist I -IV ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Troubleshoot electrical systems throughout the plant * Help maintain electrical equipment through PM procedures * Assist in instituting new control systems * Research and develop better controls and electrical processes * Track and monitor reoccurring problems and provide solutions to correct these problems * Identify weakness in the equipment related to electrical systems and develop solutions * Understand the technical functionality on electrical equipment and be able to train operators and maintenance technicians on the operations and troubleshooting of equipment * Assist maintenance personnel in maintaining an efficient production operation and all other duties as assigned by supervisor EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE: * Industrial electrical experience, extensive schematic reading capability, PLC coding/troubleshooting. * Any and all other electrical certifications to include technical college and/or manufacturing certifications. i.e. Allen Bradley, Square D, etc. * Preferable 2-4 years documented experience.
