Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

**What role you will play in our team**
+ Process Technicians are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant processing equipment including pumps, compressors, furnaces, exchangers, valves, distillation columns, and other equipment common to chemical/refinery operations

**What role you will play in our team**
The Senior Instrumentation Engineer acts as a lead technical resource for site and external Instrumentation needs. Responsible for both short and long term Instrumentation improvement initiatives to meet the site's safety, environmental, reliability, and competitiveness goals. Depending on need, responsibility may include subject matter expertise (SME) for small or large Capital Projects.

**About You**
**Skills and Qualifications**
+ Bachelor of Science in Engineering (typically Electrical) or Associates Degree in Electrical Technology with equivalent work experience
+ 6-10 years of ExxonMobil Instrumentation experience (or equivalent)
+ Expert knowledge of:
+ Fundamental Process Measurements and the instrumentation and electrical technologies, codes, and concepts associated with them.
+ Instrumentation cabling, wiring, junction box, power supply and distribution, UPS, and associated TCP/IP, SCADA, Modbus networking (switches, routers, Ethernet, fiber optics, etc.)
+ PLC and typical heavy industry control systems associated with machinery and with fired equipment

What role you will play in our team
We are seeking Senior Process Control Application Engineers to join us in roles within our North American manufacturing locations, specifically in Joliet IL.
Our Application Engineers are responsible for developing and supporting basic and advanced process control applications that enhance plant process safety, operability, and profitability.
