The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Deep understanding of EVM/SVM architecture, token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, SPL), and DeFi primitives.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Python, Solidity, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with smart contract frameworks and tools such as Hardhat, Truffle, OpenZeppelin, Mythril, and Ganache.
Strong background in quantitative modeling, data science, or financial engineering, with experience applying models to trading or risk systems.
Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and mentor senior engineers in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

The Data Science team is a highly collaborative group leading technical projects across the FDAM organization to enable effective management of investment products and services. As a hands-on team lead you will be expected to understand the function needs to both meet the expected outcome and continue to drive innovation
The base salary range for this position is $140,000-285,000 USD per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Job Description
Lead and support hydrology and hydraulic analysis for roadway and transportation projects
Design stormwater management systems, ponds, and conveyance systems
Perform erosion control and outfall analysis to ensure compliance with environmental standards
Contribute to all aspects of roadway drainage design including culverts, bridges, ditches, BMPs, and watershed studies
Conduct site visits and fieldwork to confirm existing conditions

This role is highly hands-on and requires regular travel to overseas contract manufacturers (CMs). You will work closely with electrical engineering, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure all test systems are robust, scalable, and capable of identifying issues before boards ever reach final assembly.

Own test coverage strategy for all custom PCBAs across the product

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Manufacturing Engineer responsibilities include development and implementation of best practices and new processes, identifying and driving process improvements, ownership of new product launches, serving as a technical expert for the company and customers, leadership and mentoring of less experienced peers, and new equipment and process specification and design. The candidate for this position must have demonstrated the application of best practices and lessons learned, complex mechatronics design / quoting / implementation experience, process development, value stream mapping and improvement, and creativity to develop World Class Processes with our Operations, Tool & Die, QA, HR, and Facilities teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Includes, but may not be limited to the following:
Manufacturing Engineer utilizes complex data analysis techniques to identify and correct process variances.
Manufacturing Engineer represents the Check-Mate Engineering organization.
Shows self to be a technical leader on projects to internal and external customers.
Manufacturing Engineer leads and manages teams during product and process development.
Manufacturing Engineer provides operations and supplier support domestically and internationally.
Manufacturing Engineer leads and participates in design reviews, owning and resolving action items.
Manufacturing Engineer interacts with senior external personnel (customers / suppliers) on significant technical matters requiring coordination within and between organizations.
Manufacturing Engineer must have thorough understanding of ERP systems including process specific data collection, validation, and presentation.
Key expectations for this position include high level problem solving, along with technical leadership in the development of new processes. Senior manufacturing engineers will be required to make sound technical decisions, provide mentoring and leadership to junior engineers, and manage expenses and requirements of assigned tasks.
This position will require effective communications with other engineers, tooling designers, maintenance, operators, engineers from other disciplines, along with line and program management and Customers, and our Executive Team.
Minimum Requirements:
B.S. degree in Systems, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent manufacturing education and experience
7+ years' experience in technical process support of manufacturing operations
High Level project management, value stream metric analysis, process control
5+ years Solving complex technical problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
5+ years' Mechanical design, analysis, and documentation of tooling and processes
Experience with Metal Stamping, Fabrication, Assembly and Tooling
Must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively (verbal, written, and electronic) to all levels of the organization
A3 Communication or other CER / Project justification methods
Completely qualified with MS Office, ERP systems, 3D modeling (SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo). CNC machine operation and / or setup a plus.
Proven project leadership / planning / communication - must give specific examples
Problem solving skills and familiarity with multiple methods are a must - Shainin / L6S / 5-Why / PDCA
Attention to detail and time management, deadline driven
Must be able to thrive in a team setting with cross functional teams
