As Chief Strategy Officer, I develop and drive the company’s global Intelligent Automation growth strategy, thought leadership, evangelism and internal cross-functional alignment across sales/channel partners and alliances/services/marketing/product/finance/mergers & acquisitions. My passion is building high performing leadership teams to drive operational excellence and create enterprise value.

Prior to joining Kofax (private equity owned - Thoma Bravo), I led Deloitte Consulting’s U.S. Public Sector Intelligent Automation/RPA practice and was CEO of a high growth start-up responsible for full business operations P&L with a successful exit. Also, served as a Major in the US Marine Corps.

Cort Townsend was appointed CFO of Kofax in March 2016 and is responsible for accounting, finance, tax, treasury, audit, order management, and IT. Since joining Kofax in 2010, Cort has held several senior finance roles, having served most recently as the company’s Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller. Before joining Kofax, Cort worked at Deloitte in the audit practice spending most of his time on software and technology clients with a wide range of small, private companies to large publicly traded companies. Cort is a CPA in California and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a Minor in Asian Studies from University of Utah.
