The counselor also assists with development of the building master schedule, schedules students into appropriate courses and programs, and serves as the building Test Coordinator for state-wide assessments. # WORK DAYS: 204 days per year REPORTS TO: Building Principal & Director of Guidance RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide individual, small-group, and classroom connections that address academic, social/emotional, and career development needs. * Deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and interventions that build skills in self-awareness, decision-making, behavior regulation, and interpersonal relationships. * Collaborate and consult with staff, families, and community partners to support student success. * Participate in problem-solving teams, MTSS/RTI, IEP, 504, and crisis response processes. * Assist with development of the building master schedule and schedule students into appropriate courses and programs. * Monitor academic progress and coordinate interventions to address academic concerns. * Design, implement, and evaluate the comprehensive school counseling program using data to guide improvement. * Serve as the building Test Coordinator by organizing, administering, and overseeing state-wide assessments in compliance with district and state requirements. * Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in accordance with policies and ethical standards. * Provide career awareness, exploration, and planning activities aligned with student interests and strengths. * Support connections between academic coursework and future career pathways. * Maintain licensure, participate in professional learning, and adhere to ethical standards. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or Director of Guidance.
