We are seeking experienced Pile Drivers in the following areas:
Wallops Island, VA
Northern VA/DC/MD
SUMMARY
Operates pile drivers mounted on skids, barges, crawler treads, or cranes to drive pilings for retaining walls, bulkheads, and foundations of structures such as bridges and piers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Skilled in use of necessary hand and power tools;
Conducts pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning;
Cleans, lubricates, and refills equipment;
Drives pilings to provide support for structures such as bridges, using heavy equipment with a pile driver head;
Moves hand and foot levers of hoisting equipment to position piling leads, hoist piling into leads, and position hammers over pilings;
Moves levers and turns valves to activate power hammers, or to raise and lower drop hammers that drive pile to required depths.

Expected base hourly range for this position is: $26.00 -$30.00
This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Kokosing at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.

Position Summary: Field Surveyor will lead or be part of a survey crew depending on experience and background. The field surveyor would work closely with Kokosing supervision to provide layout for all facets of highway and building construction. This position would sometimes involve travel during the week beyond the Richmond area depending on the company workload

Work with Project Managers, Engineers, and other Team Members to coordinate surveying activities for the projects.
Be able to prioritize layout and do it in an efficient and timely manner
Provide input on surveying to satisfy the project's accuracy requirements

Comply with safety regulations, company standards, and government guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience working as a surveyor, ideally on construction projects.
Proficiency using surveying equipment including levels, robotic instruments, and GPS receivers

Basic computer skills with willingness to learn and expand knowledge
Be willing to learn new surveying techniques
Must be able to climb ladders, work around traffic, and work in all types of weather conditions

SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley is currently seeking a driven and experienced Industrial Skilled Laborer to join our growing team. Our work includes challenging formed concrete foundations, assembly and installation of manufacturing machinery and in-plant renovations. Employees will be based out of Kinsley's Hagerstown, MD location but travel in the mid-Atlantic region for projects will be required.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with instruments for precise layout
Assist with excavation and backfill
Non CDL truck driving may be required
Perform formwork, placement of anchor bolts and placement of embeds
Perform placement of rebar
Perform placement of concrete including large mass pours, foundations, formed piers, formed walls, supported slabs and small areas of slab on grade
In addition to carpentry and concrete work, must be willing to learn standard rigging practices, steel erection fundamentals and pipefitting.
Measure, cut or shape wood, plastic and other material
Use various hand and power tools such as circular saws, nail guns, sanders, tape measures, squares, levels, brooms etc.
Fasten materials together with nails, screws, staples, and adhesives
Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards
Load or unload building materials to be used in construction
Build or take apart bracing, scaffolding and temporary structures
Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience is appreciated and will evaluated when determining starting compensation
Basic math skills to properly measure for the amount of materials needed
Read and interpret maps, sketches, drawings, and specifications
Understand and follow oral and written instructions
Must be willing and able to work at elevated heights on provided work platforms, scaffolding or manlifts.

# Project Overview:
Bechtel is the licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction partner on TerraPower's Natrium team. Selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for its Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program, Natrium is participating in a DOE initiative to re-establish U.S. leadership in nuclear energy that provides matching funding to industry to design and build an operational advanced reactor. TerraPower, a leading advanced generation technology company founded by former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates, will be deploying its 345 MWe sodium fast reactor (SFR), called Natrium. The Natrium plant features an advanced, cost-competitive reactor design that is safer, simpler, easier and less costly to construct, less expensive to operate, and able to provide energy that is competitive with fossil fuels. It also features an innovative molten salt energy storage system designed to be complementary to solar and wind power by evening out the peaks and valleys in production when the sun is not shining or the wind is not blowing. With the reactor and energy storage output combined, the plant can produce more than 500 MWe of power.
Other Team Natrium partners include GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy, Energy Northwest, PacifiCorp, and Duke Energy, along with support from a number of national laboratories and universities. Responsibilities
Office Engineering:
* Perform material takeoffs from drawings, specifications and other contract documents
* Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations
* Assist Engineers to gather and prepare data for submittal or transmittal to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal use
* Participate in the preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts, performing minor solicitations and purchasing as requested
* Schedule maintenance and performing updates as directed by others
* Assist in the maintenance of basic project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, requests for information (RFIs), and memorandums
* Enter data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with jobsite management
* Assist in generating change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the Project Manager
* Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations
Estimating:
* Assist in reviewing and analyzing historical data relative to the project, incorporating various productions and costs appropriate in preparation of a bid
* Complete a plan and specification review for an assigned project, assessing the risk areas and bringing them to the attention of the Senior Estimator
* Complete material and quantity takeoffs according to bid documents
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field of engineering or equivalent experience and education, required.
* At least 3 years of experience in the construction field, preferably in the vertical construction markets with a strong understanding of preconstruction activities that includes: front end planning, the bid process, scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, estimating, constructability reviews and strategic construction execution.
* Must have working knowledge and be able to direct the operations of at least these management systems: scheduling - CPM, unit man-hour performance, material control, estimating and subcontracts.
* Experience with leadership and management of people, strong communication (verbal and written), planning and organizational skills, and comfortable dealing with stakeholders at various levels.

Summary:
Working onsite with the Project Team to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for Industrial projects - primarily Water/Wastewater Treatment plant construction but also factories/production facilities, data centers, focused mostly in Northen Virginia, District of Columbia (DC) and Baltimore area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities, including personnel planning and administration, work assignments, disciplinary actions, etc.
Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule (Primavera P6).
Provide technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of deign conflicts; contractibility reviews, etc.
Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents (submittals, RFI's, expediting material deliveries, payment of Subcontractors/Vendors and Owner pay requests).
Represent company, project and/or department during A/E, client and project management meetings.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

Kinsley is currently seeking Concrete Workers including form carpenters, rebar placement and concrete placement. Our work includes deep foundations, complicated machine foundations, quarry foundations and heavy industrial structural renovations. Concrete finishing experience is preferred.
