Provides KAC Import product sources the information required to set and maintain production and shipping schedules in support of KAC sales.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Responsible for creating and maintaining monthly Model-Specification-Location Forecast in anticipation of customer demand by minimizing order-to-delivery lead time and freight expense based on the monthly volumes dictated by the Business Plan.
* Responsible for converting Forecast to Finished Machine inventory - including Stock Sales Order creation and PO Transfer to Manufacturing Plants.
* Gaining deep familiarity with each product is paramount. Assist in developing and maintaining Price List structure to adequately deliver products to customers to manage inventory controls (FIFO, SOX, etc), and facilitate New Product Introductions by keeping relevant parties aware of remaining stock and run out options.
* Responsible for receiving and allocating all Distributor Sales orders for machines and loose attachments for assigned import models. Machines are allocated as needed to drive overall inventory turns.
* Inventory planning, reporting, and data analysis for finished machines and attachments consistent with current Komatsu operating policies while maintaining the quality of the product delivered to achieve Komatsu standards. Lead/Coordinate/Assist in annual physical inventory taken at each stockyard location.
* Responsible for creating, placing, modifying and tracking purchase orders for locally supplied attachments and ship-direct materials from the generation of requirement to final shipment and invoicing of the Distributor.
* Responsible for the execution of SAP procedures consistent with providing accurate and timely data.
* Responsible for resolving stockyard shipment issues, both physical or document related, through a coordinated effort made with other parties. The generation of reports and information to management as required is a necessary task.
* The responsibility includes executing supplier contract administration within the confines of the contract and resolving disputes and/or discrepancies related to deliveries, counts, quality, cost, invoices, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements
* BS/BA degree or equivalent level of business experience within the purchasing/material control/distribution disciplines.
* Strong operational PC skills in Excel and Word with Access capability being a plus.
* Independent problem-solving skills/resourcefulness is required.
* Accuracy and timeliness are critical.
* Strong communication skills: both written and oral are required.
* Travel as required
* Ability to execute local supplier contract administration within the parameters of the individual contract is required. Ability to resolve disputes/discrepancies regarding deliveries, counts, quality, cost, invoices, etc. is a required skill set.

+ Ensure Team Leaders include quality standards in Standardized

+ Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders to address and solve
+ production line quality issues (i.e. Team Leader, engineering, quality).
+ Monitor scrap data/reports to drive resolution of scrap issues and work
+ projects to prevent future scrap.
+ Partner with Plant Quality staff and engineering to drive improvements in key
+ quality metrics, including First Pass Yield, Overall Yield and Service Call Rate
+ (SCR) metrics.
**SAFETY** :
+ Responsible for the overall safety performance and metrics for the
+ value stream operation.
+ Promote a strong safety-minded culture in the value stream. Maintain an
+ active safety program, ensuring the observation of safety precautions and
+ safe work methods by all personnel, including behavior-based safety
+ observations, safety meetings, safety audits and 5S housekeeping standards.
+ Enforce compliance to safety rules and procedures, timely accident
+ investigations, Safety Contacts and Safe Start participation.
+ Review and sign off on all accident investigations. Ensure they are completed
+ in a timely manner and identify root cause and corrective action to drive
+ required changes.
+ Manage the department's safety action item list, including corrective actions

Assist in the deployment of a PDM remote monitoring system. Monitors performance of the equipment after predictive technologies are implemented and provides reports and updates, as needed. Works closely with maintenance and operating technicians to improve their knowledge of techniques that could impede equipment reliability. Train maintenance personnel on the use of PDM monitoring devices and lubrication. Assist TPM Leader in the development of inspection checklists and cleaning standards that the operations will perform after a TPM activity for equipment sustainment. Oversee the deployment of standardized work within the value stream operation. Ensure process stability through following standardized work.
Coach and develop Area Leaders and Team Leaders to ensure standardized work is in place and is followed.
Ensure adherence to Job Instruction method by reviewing and verifying Job Instruction forms, including cross training matrix, and Team Leader delivery of four step method to ensure ‘Critical Points' and ‘Why' are conveyed accurately and effectively.
Ensure 5S standards are met for the entire value stream.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:

Production System philosophy and drive continuous improvement within the value
stream operation.

Monitor manufacturing processes, data & reports on a daily basis and drive
the resolution or escalation for any defect.
Ensure Team Leaders include quality standards in Standardized
Work to meet design intent and build in quality.
Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders to address and solve
production line quality issues (i.e. Team Leader, engineering, quality).
Monitor scrap data/reports to drive resolution of scrap issues and work
projects to prevent future scrap.
Partner with Plant Quality staff and engineering to drive improvements in key
quality metrics, including First Pass Yield, Overall Yield and Service Call Rate
(SCR) metrics.
SAFETY:
Responsible for the overall safety performance and metrics for the
value stream operation.
Promote a strong safety-minded culture in the value stream. Maintain an
active safety program, ensuring the observation of safety precautions and
safe work methods by all personnel, including behavior-based safety
observations, safety meetings, safety audits and 5S housekeeping standards.
Enforce compliance to safety rules and procedures, timely accident
investigations, Safety Contacts and Safe Start participation.
Review and sign off on all accident investigations. Ensure they are completed
in a timely manner and identify root cause and corrective action to drive
required changes.
Manage the department's safety action item list, including corrective actions
from near misses, accident reports & ergo assessments.

What You'll Bring to Our Team
Successful candidates for the Tooling Technician role should have strong die trouble shooting skills, AutoCAD, CAD-CAM experience and be able to work in hot and humid industrial manufacturing environment.
Additional requirements for applicants to the Tooling Technician role include:
• HS diploma or equivalent required. 2-year degree from an accredited technical college or post-secondary school with emphasis in Tool and Die or minimum of five years on the job training with industrial manufacturing facility. Journeyman certification is preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience in maintaining or building dies in the stamping industry.
• Good understanding of die maintenance and upkeep.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and die designs.
• Experience and Knowledge of Machining Center, Programming, set- up, and operation is a plus.
• CNC EDM set up and operation experience is a plus.
• Experience as a Machinist, or Die-Maker's Helper is a plus.
• A strong desire to accept tooling challenges and take them on to help the company succeed is a must.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Safety: Follow and promote all safety guidelines for the position and the building. Follow all LOTO requirements. Review the LOTO procedure for the equipment with EHS, and TPM Engineer two weeks prior to any TPM activity in the plant. Review equipment with the TPM Engineer to identify potential risks that could occur during a TPM activity. Risks include items such as; sensors, prox. switches that could be accidentally misaligned or damaged, and safety devices such as light curtains, gate interlocks, etc. Participate in initial walkthrough of the equipment with TPM participants to identify equipment issues requiring repair so they can be tagged and completed during the TPM activity. Manage the organization and inventory control of the plant's lubricant storage (oil room, inside storage, satellite storage locations). Develop and implement plan for filtering oil including in-bound (new) and in-use oil using proper hardware to prevent contamination of oil and avoid powering down equipment. Suggest revisions to standard work procedures with regards to the handling and dispensing of lubricants. Implement lubrication visual management for storage locations and equipment. Optimize Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks by suggesting revisions to task lists and frequency of PMs. Develop skills to be the in-house expert on the use of PdM monitoring (vibration, thermography, ultrasound, motor testing). Work with Maintenance Business Leaders, AME, PIE, and TPM Engineers to develop a plan (and routes) for using predictive maintenance (PDM) techniques on critical pieces of equipment. Assist in the deployment of a PDM remote monitoring system. Monitors performance of the equipment after predictive technologies are implemented and provides reports and updates, as needed. Works closely with maintenance and operating technicians to improve their knowledge of techniques that could impede equipment reliability. Train maintenance personnel on the use of PDM monitoring devices and lubrication. Assist TPM Leader in the development of inspection checklists and cleaning standards that the operations will perform after a TPM activity for equipment sustainment. Participate in TPM kick-off meetings prior to the activities in the plant. Participate in TPM meetings as required. Provide feedback on critical equipment failures and suggest improvements. Assist in training operators on new tasks assigned during the TPM activity. Assist in the training of maintenance technicians in TPM philosophy. Support and promote a problem-solving environment. Participate in root cause failure analysis meetings to drive for a solution to eliminate the defect. Perform other duties as assigned.
