Job Description Job Summary: The Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels and components according to engineering drawings and production schedules. This role supports the efficient and accurate completion of electrical builds for hoist systems and other industrial equipment. Assemble electrical components such as junction boxes, terminals, push buttons, and control panels. Perform wiring operations including cutting, stripping, crimping, and mounting wires to connect electrical units. Conduct point-to-point testing and verify functionality of assembled systems. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues. Maintain compliance with safety procedures and ESD handling protocols. Document work progress and report any discrepancies or delays to the supervisor. Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events and Lean practices. Qualifications Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree in Electronics or Technical field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in electrical assembly or related manufacturing role. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Familiarity with hand tools, automated assembly equipment, and electrical testing devices. IPC or J-STD-001 certification is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs during shift. Job Description POSITION SUMMARY Konecranes Nuclear Equipment & Services is the leading worldwide supplier of lifting equipment for the nuclear power industry. As the Nuclear Service Manager, you will provide leadership and direct service field activities including quoting/estimating, service contract execution, labor and resource planning, safety, customer satisfaction, field operative productivity, material requisition/preparation, vehicle and equipment management. Our service team consists of office personnel and remote field service employees. This role supports the field service employees in all aspects of their remote work as listed in the responsibilities below. Our field service employees depend on the Nuclear Service Manager to help them execute successful services for our customers! RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for on-time and on-budget execution of service of nuclear material handling equipment at customer locations globally working with a cross-functional project team. Project types include oversight for repairs, modernization, inspections, assessments, rail surveys/repairs and installation activities on electric overhead traveling cranes at a nuclear power plants government facilities and other demanding customer sites both in the USA and globally. Provide managerial support to the office staff and field service workforce. Address performance issues, documenting as required. Review serious employment matters with supervisor prior to taking action. Conduct annual reviews with direct report employees. Develop technical skills throughout the organization as it pertains to crane controls; attain/maintain industry leadership. Develop skills and organizational culture; develop customer centered, knowledgeable and responsive organization. Select, develop, motivate and manage staff accordingly. Meet and exceed company goals and budgets as it relates to orders/sales, margins, profitability, quality, punctuality, productivity, expenses and customer service. Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct detailed walkdowns of equipment and site. Attend customer meetings to assist sales staff. Prepare service quotations for work at nuclear facilities utilizing best practices and tools to optimize schedule. Engage subcontractors and coordinate sub-contracted services as necessary. Prior to services, print and prepare document packages for technician use. Prior to services, prepare tools as necessary and arrange logistics to site (techs do not carry tools, tools are shipped from the office or provided by the customer site). Have the ability to write safety related documents and work plans. Ability to research and procure materials and tools local to the work. Review and approve invoices following completion of service according to contract. Follow all established safety rules and procedures, including those established by the customer and have a strong commitment to safety. Plan and participate in monthly safety meetings. Assist in the field and support manufacturing efforts when necessary. Conduit kick-off meetings for engineering when engineering services are provided on a service order. Continually appraise company products, services, policies and procedures relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy. Strive for continuous improvement in operations as it relates to efficiency, quality, punctuality and costs. Actively and directly participate in resolving issues with internal/external customers. Maintain the current customer base. Support service quotations for repairs and inspections, scope and estimate projects in a timely manner, following established guidelines. Direct and assist Service Staff employees with the planning and scheduling of service work for the existing service workforce, as needed. Ensure all open orders are scheduled or tentatively planned on the calendar. Ensure effective use of operative labor, maximizing direct labor in accordance with company guidelines. Resolve customer complaints, within established guidelines, to the satisfaction of the customer and in the best interest of the company. Any unresolved issues should be quickly elevated to the next level of management for prompt resolution. Oversee routine changes to the open orders, as needed. Ensure open orders report reflects the current status of any active service work. Ensure time entry and expense reports are complete, accurate and approved according to company guidelines and that hours are allocated to the appropriate job and are properly classified. Ensure quality control program is administered in accordance with company policy. Oversee and input data to subcontractor management systems (ISN, Avetta, etc) Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, excel, PPT, Teams, projects, etc) Must be able to work varied overtime and be able to travel and work away from home for extended periods of time. Must be team oriented, solutions driven, customer focused and a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Able to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics and BOM's. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude are a plus. Read, understand and apply the contents of all OSHA, ASME, CMAA and other codes or regulations pertaining to our industry. Refresh and update knowledge periodically. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience involving overhead cranes, installations, inspections, electrical and mechanical repairs. Previous nuclear industry background is a plus. You will report to the Industrial Crane and Product Engineering Manager. You Will: Perform engineering calculations to compute the stresses developed in a crane runway structure. Knowledge of different static, dynamic and fatigue failure theories based on stress life approach is required to compute the allowable stresses according to applicable industry standards. Evaluate the static/dynamic strength and fatigue life of structural steel runway structures for the United States and Canada. Use of RISA 3D, vendor software, KC Developed Programs and other in-house built analytical tools to perform and present structural calculations of runway structures conforming to the specifications of AISC/ASCE/CSA/CMAA. The ability to perform calculations is necessary to validate a calculation using a secondary/independent method of analysis. Knowledge on ASCE, IBC codes is a must, including seismic conditions Support customers and team members as an expert when troubleshooting issues that arise onsite during installation, commissioning or the warranty period of a project Occasionally support sales and offer support during the quotation phase of complex projects to provide guidance on design options during the quotation stage Participate in continuous improvement efforts The entire purchasing experience of our customers can set us apart in the industry; either positively or negatively. Our ability to create satisfied customers is dependent on our behaviours throughout the entire customer purchasing experience, and the Structural Engineer position is a key technical role that supports the entire team in achieving this goal Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering Have an EIT certification, with plans or desire to obtain a PE license 3-5 years of related industry experience Knowledge of ASCE, IBE codes and seismic conditions Knowledge of AISC/CSA and CMAA is considered an asset Experience in both Microsoft excel (can perform complex functions) and CAD programs Experience with electric overhead traveling (EOT) cranes is an asset but not required.
