Job Responsibilities The General Foreman supervises and directs daily activities of pole and pad mount inspections and painting projects to ensure their team is working safely and efficiently. This position has a mix of onsite and administrative responsibilities to be completed each day. This position works closely with the management team as well as customer project managers. Conduct meetings with employees as needed to review safety approach, changing conditions (weather, repairs, etc.), along with specifics for the day. Plan schedules and ensures project procedures and schedules are followed by directing crew activities. Ensure scope of work is being followed. Ensure all required equipment and supplies are available as needed for the project. Review daily production. Monitor all aspects of safety. Perform quality control inspections. Ensure daily time records are recorded for each employee. Monitor employee compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Arrange equipment repairs or rentals as needed to complete projects. Respond to internal and external inquiries. Organize and manage field project documents. Communicate with customers as needed to resolve issues. Other assigned duties. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 3-5 years of relevant experience in the utility services industry Strong verbal and written communication skills Requires high level of detail, accuracy, and follow-up. Qualifications Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements: • BS in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or technical services role, preferably within the steel or metal forming industry. • Strong understanding of steel grades, mechanical properties, and cold drawing processes. • Familiarity with industry standards (ASTM A513/A519, SAE J524, EN 10305, etc.). • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems - experience with Oracle ERP System (preferred) • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Tech is responsible for installing, repairing, and providing preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment in the plant. The Maintenance Tech works with all hand and power tools in the plant. Changes pumps, motors and other equipment. Operates mobile equipment such as Broderson Crane, forklift, truck, etc. The Maintenance Repairman works on and underneath tank cars. Installs, repairs, maintains pumps, motors, blowers, conveyor systems, etc. Reads, interprets, and implements instructions from maps and drawings Welding/pipe repair/gasket repair Utilizes hoists Fabricates steel, metal, piping, etc. Installs flanges Operates Broderson crane, electric pallet jack, forklift, truck, box truck, boom truck, dollies Removes nuclear sources Utilizes come-a-longs Lifts/lowers/carries pipe Utilizes vices and grinders Removes plugs and caps underneath tank car Ascends/descends platforms/ladders/steps/stairs/rail cars/scaffolding/towers Repairs steam leaks Lifts/lowers/carries propane tank Wears harness and respirator Conducts preventative maintenance checks.
