The Project REACH (Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health) Coordinator is a full-time position. The REACH program aims to identify and address community needs to promote healthier lives, with a strong focus on health equity. The program coordinator will focus on three key areas: Nutrition, Physical Activity, and the Family Healthy Weight Program.
We are seeking a dedicated and community-driven Program Coordinator to support and oversee the implementation of a 12-week
Family Healthy Weight Program
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruiting participants (children and youth under age 17), maintaining effective communication with parents, and providing technical assistance and on-site coordination to ensure successful program delivery in collaboration with internal staff and community partners.
Under the supervision of the Director of Health Services, the incumbent:
Participant Recruitment & Family Engagement
Recruit children and youth under the age of 17 to participate in the 12-week program. Serve as the main point of contact for families; maintain effective communication with parents/guardians throughout the program. Provide support during sessions and follow-up as needed to ensure participant retention.
Program Planning & Implementation
Develop and implement culturally responsive program strategies to promote health equity and reduce health disparities. Coordinate with partner sites to manage logistics for weekly sessions, including location, materials, and scheduling. Support partner sites in program execution. Work with internal staff to ensure alignment with KCSCs broader health initiatives.
Community Partnership & Collaboration
Identify and engage partner organizations, community stakeholders, and public health agencies to support program implementation. Maintain strong communication with subject matter experts, including nutritionists and physical activity instructors. Provide on-site support to ensure partner staff deliver high-quality sessions. Represent KCSC in coalitions, councils, and community health networks to build program visibility and effectiveness.
Volunteer & Instructor Coordination
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and contracted professionals (e.g., fitness trainers, registered dietitians). Assign roles, monitor participation, and provide ongoing support to maintain high-quality sessions.
Outreach, Promotion & Content Creation
Design and produce program-related materials, such as flyers, newsletters, and social media content. Organize and lead outreach events in the community to promote the program and raise awareness of healthy lifestyle practices; this may include performing live wellness demonstrations or mini-exercise sessions at community fairs. Contribute to KCSCs communications strategy to increase program visibility.
Community Engagement
Build and sustain positive relationships with community leaders, schools, and local organizations. Conduct outreach activities to encourage broad community participation and support, acting as a role model for a healthy and active lifestyle within the community.
Monitoring, Data & Evaluation
Oversee data collection (e.g., attendance, feedback, health metrics) to evaluate program outcomes. Use data insights to improve program design and report progress to funders and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in public health, community health, social work, or a related field.
Prior experience in fitness instruction or the ability to lead structured physical activity sessions for children and families is a significant plus.
1 year of experience in public health initiatives, program coordination, community health, health services, or related human service field is preferred.
Knowledge of racial and ethnic health disparities, social determinants of health, and community engagement strategies.
Experience and demonstrated competence working with commercial software applications, including all Microsoft Office applications and with the Internet.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
Bilingual proficiency (verbal and written fluency) in English and Korean is necessary. Knowledge of the Korean immigrant community is preferred.
Valid drivers license, access to the insured and registered vehicle, and willingness to use a vehicle to travel to outreach events or partner meetings.

Responsibilities
Run and oversee behavioral + functional assessments (FBA) - the fun ones like VB-MAPP and Vineland!
Create individualized, evidence-based ABA goals and behavior plans that actually work in real life-home, community, and center.
Train, support, and cheer on your RBT team like the clinical rockstars they are.
Lead meaningful parent training sessions that empower families.
Collaborate with other disciplines, educators, and providers to give kids the best care possible. (OT, ST, &PT)
And of course… pitch in with anything else that helps the team thrive!
Qualifications
Must be licensed as a BCBA as well as hold appropriate state licensure.
At least a Master's degree in ABA, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university and one year experience working with children on the spectrum.

Administers, conducts, evaluates and supervises the implementation of behavioral
assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP, Vineland) and functional assessment measures
Develops individualized, evidence based, culturally sensitive goals and objectives for home, community, and center-based programs
Designs behavior support plans based on functional assessment data
Ensures appropriate behavior data collection systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the
continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individualized data driven goals and objectives
Trains and supports behavior therapists on the proper implementation of educational and clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems, etc. in the home, community, and center
Conducts regular parent training and consultation, per prescribed plan
Completes re-assessments and writes reports per insurance guidelines
Participates in regular clinical meetings
Agrees to complete 28 (twenty-eight) hours of patient care time each work week.
Completes documentation of services in a timely manner
Qualified Behavior Analysts supervise RBTs
Remains current regarding research and evidence-based practices
Completes competency assessments for RBTs per HealthPro Pediatrics policy timelines
Competently delivers services via telehealth, when necessary
Maintains accurate and up to date “CAQH” profile and NPI
Collaborates and coordinates care with other evidenced based disciplines, medical providers, educators
Completes and maintains all mandatory in house trainings, including telehealth, within the corresponding organization policy timeline
Completes accurate billing practices in the electronic practice management system
Strictly adheres to Behavior Analyst Certification Board's “The Professional and
Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts”.

Responsibilities
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
Treatment and Education: Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
Qualifications
Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
