Summary Objective
The Senior Buyer plays a key role in driving strategic sourcing and procurement excellence across a rapidly growing business segment. This position is responsible for developing supplier relationships, negotiating complex agreements, and ensuring continuity of supply to support aggressive production schedules. The Senior Buyer partners closely with operations, engineering, and project management to align procurement activities with business growth objectives, cost targets, and schedule commitments.
Essential Functions
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Execution
Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with business growth and operational objectives.
Negotiate and manage vendor contracts to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and performance outcomes.

Support qualification of new suppliers to meet evolving project and production needs.
Process Improvement & Compliance
Drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes, systems, and tools to improve speed and scalability.
Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, internal controls, and documentation standards.
Prepare documentation and participate in ISO 9001 and internal quality audits.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with engineering, operations, and finance to forecast demand, manage budgets, and align purchasing plans.
Collaborate with project managers to support cost tracking, scheduling, and delivery coordination.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent
A minimum of 2 years of purchasing related experience or demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree within Business, Finance, or Logistics from an accredited university.

About the Role
We are seeking a Contract Execution Manager to serve as the customer-facing liaison for large, custom-engineered, power transformer manufacturing projects. This is not a construction or software PM role - it is a highly technical, contract-driven position responsible for ensuring the successful execution of engineered-to-order equipment, from design release through manufacturing, shipment, and onsite installation.
The position is onsite in Waco, TX and requires close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, contracts, and field service teams.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for customers after order placement, ensuring clear communication and contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Translate customer specifications and contract terms into actionable deliverables for engineering and manufacturing teams.
Oversee project schedules adherence to contractional milestone execution, and scope; identify risks and implement proactive resolutions.
Lead customer project meetings and provide updates on progress, milestones, and risks.
Ability to handle multiple projects at different stages of execution from order entry through manufacturing, shipping, and warranty.
Manage all contract obligations, including technical clarifications, change orders, and terms enforcement, in collaboration with sales and legal teams.
Coordinate and ensure site preparation, shipping, and installation activities with customers and field service.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent technical experience.

POSTITION OVERVIEW
The Manger, Supply Chain Management is partly responsible within the given Matrix organization for developing and implementing the strategic direction for SMA America. An integral part is the preparing and leading of supplier meetings, negotiations, QBRs. Development of own PIs which are aligned with the company targets and the global score card. Regular presentation of PI's covering transportation, purchasing and inventory availability/levels. The position is in charge for the most productive operational set up internal as well optimizing the interfaces with the other stakeholders. The training and development of the Transportation and the Purchasing staff has another focus.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy development and execution for America's end-to-end supply chain: from suppliers to customers.
Lead the weekly Sales and Operations Meeting for the region, including interface with Sales, Order Management, Finance, Marketing, Service, and Legal
Closely collaborate with HQ in Germany with Production planning; Order Management and Global Logistics to ensure regional needs are met.
Assurance of material availability and high inventory turns (DOH) in a volatile environment to meet on-time (OTIF) and lead-time goals.
Work collaboratively with international colleagues to ensure the Americas Region supports the global, functional processes, while negotiating adaptations as required to meet regional business needs.

Provide direction, development and leadership of the Transportation and Purchasing Departments, while also functioning as the Americas Region Supply Chain Manager.
Develop, propose and implement the strategic direction for all Americas transportation aligned with Global Logistics.
This includes supplier selection activities, route configurations along with ensuring the team executes on daily operational activities.
Manage relationship with TMS system vendor and carriers and determine best configuration and usage to optimize freight spend time-in-transit and other service parameters. Develop and implement and execute the invoicing / invoice auditing process according to the compliance rules.
Works with international carriers and freight forwarders to streamline the flow of goods across international borders and through customs. Ensure company is importing/exporting in compliance with US laws and regulations.
Leads U.S. Import/export compliance efforts on behalf of SMA.
Analyze production plans, lead times, safety stocks and lot sizes to determine resource requirements and constraints.
Develop the calculation parameters on which SAP is calculating the reordering
Work closely with cross-functional teams to support supplier communication, demand forecasts and new products introductions, including participation in Sales meetings and S&OP planning.

Summary/Objective

Summary/Objective
The Quality Manufacturing Director leads the Quality Control (QC) and Continuous Improvement (CI) functions to ensure product excellence and operational efficiency. This role drives a culture of quality and continuous improvement by implementing robust QC processes, leveraging data-driven insights, and applying methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma. The Director collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance manufacturing performance, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support the company's sustainability objectives.
Essential Functions
Lead QC and CI teams to identify and resolve quality and process issues using root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, 8D) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence.
Develop and optimize QC inspection and testing protocols to enhance defect detection, reduce cycle times, and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
Drive CI initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency across manufacturing operations.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to integrate process enhancements, reducing variability and improving product reliability.
Define and monitor QC-specific KPIs, such as first-pass yield, scrap rates, and inspection accuracy, using statistical process control (SPC) to track real-time production quality.
Establish and track CI metrics, including process cycle time reductions, cost savings, and customer satisfaction improvements, to align with organizational goals.
Utilize advanced analytics tools (e.g., Minitab, Power BI) to analyze QC and CI data, generate predictive insights, and support strategic decision-making.
