1988 -First store opened in Istanbul
In 1988 They have begun our business life in our first store in Istanbul which is only 25 square meters.
1995 - Organization redesign to focus on design and production
In 1995 They have restructured their organization in order to perform their own designs and production.
1996 - First store abroad - in Munich
In 1996 They have opened their first abroad store in Munich, Germany.
In 1997 They have opened their first store complying with the new concept in Istanbul.
1999 - Started franchise system
In 1999 They have begun applying their Franchise system in retailing operations.
2001 - Expanded our design team, increased product selection, started opening large-scale stores, first steps towards being a Fast Fashion brand
2002 - New stores opened in Middle East, Russia and Balkans
2005 - Reached 100 stores in Turkey, 39 stores abroad
In MAPIC 2008 which is considered to be the Oscar of retail and being one of the most important retail platforms around the world attended by 2.340 retail firms, 1.079 investors and total 10.640 visitors from 71 countries, KOTON won the great award of “Retail Success Story”.
2009 - Became 26th in Turkey’s Most Valuable Brands list (2nd fashion brand) (valued by Turkey’s biggest business magazine, Capital)

2010 - Established the Koton Radio that airs live in all Koton stores

2015 - Entered the cosmetics category with Koton Beauty brand with more than 150 products.
2016 - DesignLab, setting the design, color, pattern, fabric and trends of the season in the leadership of Isham Sardouk, has been launched.
