Justification: This will be a DL position for either SBI or MEG O&I (GMI). We are seeking a PM that has experience running a large, complex program that has multiple development efforts occurring in parallel. Thus this requires someone with experience effectively managing managers and leads that will be executing the design, development, and verification. This is a different skill than what most of our previous projects and programs require. This role requires someone that has been effective at delegating responsibility and actions, which includes monitoring and assessing the progress and feedback from the team to ensure the program is on track, while managing customer expectations and interactions. FBM develops, designs, produces, maintains, and replenishes submarine-launched ballistic missiles capable of flying more than 4,000 nautical miles with a full payload.
This position Manages subordinate teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems for all contract types for the FBM LE Sustainment Program. Directs and manages costs, quality, schedule, financial and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor or the product family and is required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones of the system. Develops sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs and execution. Acts as the main focal point to the program management office and navy counterpart for the sustainment contract. Responsible for and directs all proposal activity for all subcontract from initiation of the business case for make or buy decisions through requests for proposals, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability and developing/implementing strategic initiatives. Establishes proposal milestone objectives and manages performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications. Leads team normally composed of supply chain and procurement personnel. Zayo is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager (STPM) who shall contribute to large scale strategic Customer projects and initially contribute to a key initiative to standardize Zayo's legacy dark fiber service records in the field and within various ordering, design, GIS, and billing systems. This initiative will enhance operational efficiency, streamline maintenance, and improve accuracy in troubleshooting and network redesign. This exciting initiative is national in scope and will focus on Zayo's largest dark fiber Customers, including both Long Haul and Metro Dark Fiber services.
Our STPM is a subject matter expert in process management, is a critical thinker, and has the ability to manage detailed deliverables. This hands-on role requires a multi-disciplinary skillset that leverages strong system and process knowledge in network and fiber services implementation and operations. The STPM will analyze services, plan projects and generate service orders, manage risks and issues, define and manage dependencies, manage milestones, generate technical documentation, and meet or exceed KPIs. They are a key project planner, trusted advisor, and hands-on leader who collaborates cross-functionally with Customers, Salespersons, Engineers, Outside Plant PMs, and all operational support teams.
Responsibilities
End-to-End project planner and owner who shall:
Audit historical Contacts, network designs, redlines, and invoices (where necessary) to scope and plan projects for specific regional markets and long haul fiber routes
Develop, issue, and manage specific market projects and groups of orders for service/record conversion
Generate technical documentation and validate closeout packages before issuing to Customers
Develop remedial plans where defects are identified in Service Delivery
Coordinate and implement bulk system updates and billing changes with Customers
Independently orchestrate internal and external customer project communication timeline, milestones and progress
Partner with Sales to drive ongoing customer service improvement strategies
Develop, maintain, and report performance metrics and perform analysis to support regular status reporting and cross-functional Customer Business Reviews
Develop and maintain customer project plans based on contractual requirements and service designs
Perform and oversee daily PM operational tasks working cross-functionally.
Manage existing reports and dashboards to provide weekly and quarterly forecasting, metrics and deliverables.
