MV Transportation is seeking an "A" Level Lead Mechanic/Technician who will perform preventive maintenance inspections on various types of vehicles. He/she will manage a fleet of 56 vehicles, assign work to other Technicians, purchase parts, and process paperwork. The position requires the Technician, must be able to teach, to diagnose, inspect, and change or repair defective coach components, sub-components, and systems on vehicles as time permits, more complex repair techniques. The A Lead Technician must possess a CDL license with airbrakes and a passenger endorsement, a 609 and 608 air conditioning certifications and at least H or T series ASE certifications. This position will report to the General Manager. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Assign, monitor, and review daily work orders to ensure timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled repairs.
Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, HVAC, CNG systems, and other major vehicle components.
Lead, coach, and train mechanics of all levels (A/B/C) to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
Support the Maintenance Manager in planning preventive maintenance schedules and tracking vehicle availability.
Inspect and sign off on completed repairs to ensure adherence to company, city, and CHP standards.
Maintain communication between maintenance, dispatch, and operations to minimize vehicle downtime.
Assist with warranty claims, vendor coordination, and parts inventory oversight.
Promote safety awareness by enforcing PPE use, lockout/tagout procedures, and general shop safety compliance.

About the Role:
As an Intermodal Equipment Operator (also known as a Terminal Operator), you'll play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers within our intermodal yard. You'll operate specialized equipment-such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders-to load, unload, and relocate containers as part of our daily logistics operations. Your work ensures containers are handled accurately and safely, keeping freight moving on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard.
Use top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes to stack, move, and organize containers.
Perform equipment inspections before and after use to ensure operational safety.
Communicate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate moves and tasks.
Maintain a safe work environment by following established protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial environment preferred
Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Basic communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Ability to climb ladders and stairs both off and on railcars
Valid driver's license
Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening

MV Transportation is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager who will be a dynamic, multi-task oriented senior professional to manage all day-to-day maintenance aspects of this fixed route bus operation. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will ensure that all contractual requirements are achieved, and duties included will consist of daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports. The Fleet Maintenance Manager must be able to properly manage a budget for maintenance program.

Must have at least three (3) or more years of recent (within the last five (5) years) and relevant experience managing the maintenance functions of a transit bus maintenance shop similar in scope, size, and complexity and with same or similar type of transit vehicles/equipment.
Must have experience managing/ directing 10 plus employees (fleet Technicians/Service Workers/Cleaners).
Experience working with 50 + buses within the last year.
Previous passenger transportation in current project or similar environment preferred.
Must be able to manage and interface with client.
Must have the ability to track and control parts inventories, vendors and suppliers.
Must be able to properly prioritize, implement and manage work schedules, projects and assignments.
Must be able to manage the financial/accounting aspects of a fleet maintenance operation.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff in written and oral formats.
Must have computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and Microsoft outlook.
Must have technical competence with light/medium/heavy duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
Must display initiative, professionalism, candor and tact at all times.
ASE or manufacture's certifications a plus.
Technical experience with fixed route transit bus maintenance.
Solid knowledge of managing audits, PM schedules.
Experience with Diesel, CNG, and Alternative fuels a plus.
