GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Manager of Quality Assurance Possesses a high degree of understanding of manufacturing quality practices, fundamentals and uses them to assess and analyze product quality performance of ceramic products. Able to work independently and with colleagues to research and coordinate determination of root cause of electrical, mechanical, R/D, Proto-type software problems etc. Provides timely professional details and summaries of findings and conducts internal audits and controls. Regularly interfaces with customer representatives and production to manage requirements and deliverables.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day quality operations related to KII plant, location, or product line.
* Will focus on maintaining internal quality management systems, oversee the audit program and work with/manage contract development and manufacturing organizations to ensure compliance with KII and customer programs.
* The Quality Assurance Manager will report the Senior Quality Manager and ensure he/she is aware of all significant returns, systems issues, and quality related initiatives.
* Provide quality oversight and manage projects for development and production of KII products and supplier programs. May lead committees, training, and roadmaps for non-quality team members. Participates in meetings and presentations such as MRM, PBC, HE Review, and CAR review Board.
* Ensure implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality management systems, including but not limited to procedure writing, document control, deviations, change controls, investigations, CAPAs, CAR and related personnel training.
* Leads calibration program and hires/trains technicians or outside vendors.
* Manage KII audit program, including audit preparation, execution of the audit, audit report and follow-up to any findings to Sr leadership.
* Manage staff of quality engineers and technicians. Train, evaluate, motivate, and develop staff.
* Routine travel will be required between various locations in the US (10% travel). Will work closely with KII sales, other quality teams, internal audit, and customers weekly.
* Establishes and monitors process metrics and develops action plans as needed for plant, location, or division.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Supervisor oversees existing processes and improvements based on a variety of production needs. This position will direct the production team in daily manufacture of existing products and processes, while working with the Engineering team on the development of new processes, training of employees, customer interaction, and interaction with Kyocera sales/operations.

The Product Engineer will be responsible for a specific healthcare product or group of products from concept and definition through production and release. The Space Products Group releases products for use in the Aerospace market. As a Product/Test Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating ADI devices for radiation performance to support the release of these devices as Aerospace Products. Specific Responsibilities / Duties
Manage Total Ionizing Dose testing ( High Dose Rate and Low Dose Rate) for released products and products under development.
Test Migration - Migrate test from older test platforms to test platforms available at radiation test facility.
Single Event Effects (SEE) testing - Python scripts to program, monitor, and mitigate device upsets during Heavy Ion or Proton testing.
Lab - Automate lab equipment and create programs to automate the compilation of data and create reports.
Laser Scan devices to detect sensitive transistors on the die that will require design modifications to improve the device radiation performance.

Role Overview:
As a Process Engineer, you will drive improvements in production processes, implement new systems, and lead projects that enhance safety, efficiency, and quality. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, facilities, and supply management, to ensure optimal performance and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Networks with other department personnel (including other engineers and supervisors) to tackle procedural and quality issues related to producing and delivering quality products
* Supports, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequences, and processes in manufacturing the final product. Uses projects to improve the safety, efficiency, and quality of various manufacturing processes
* Observe the starting, running, and upgrading of manufacturing processes to maximize productivity without sacrificing quality requirements. May work closely with an outside vendor to set up new equipment
* Designs, installs, and commissions new production processes and tools. Hands-on knowledge and design experience are utilized daily
* Creates work instructions and associated process documentation and updates existing documents following change order and revision control requirements.
* Ensure all production personnel understand new processes or any process changes correctly. May train production operators on new processes and solve problems at the user level to ensure ease of use and accuracy
* Analyze problems and address RCCAs using analytical methods
* Makes observations and measurements directly, as well as collects and interprets data from the existing production line to adjust and correct
* Takes ownership of assigned projects and manages results from start to finish with guidance from a Senior Engineer, Engineering Manager, or production manager. May manage technicians or other engineers on projects
* Ensuring safety is a priority on all tools and production activity. May train operators on safe machine practices in all activities
* Works with various team members, including facilities, EHS, quality, supply management, and production
* May be cross trained in a variety of skills, including inspection, testing, project management, programming, gauge R&R, drawings, and metrology
Qualifications
* Requires a 4-year degree in Engineering and 2+ years of engineering experience in a production environment with process and equipment
* 2+ years of experience in a production engineering environment with process and equipment
* Hands-on mechanical and analytical experience in a production environment
* Familiarity with ceramic or industrial parts processing (preferred)
* Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, Lean, and Six Sigma principles
* Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite, AutoCad, and/or SolidWorks, with intermediate skills in SolidCAM preferred
* Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with customers and outside vendors and to generate and deliver presentations to internal customers
* Must be eligible to work in an ITAR-regulated environment (U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Operator 2 position is responsible for the proper preparation, cleaning loading, inspection and running of parts in 1-4 production machines with moderate supervision. Works from written instructions, work orders, standard programs, and instructions given by the supervisor or lead.

1-2 year experience in a machining environment, Machine Technology certificate

* Unload ceramic and/or other parts may inspect them to remove and record any defective parts.
* Basic computer operation for recording metrics (weight, length, ID, OD, density or counts etc.) Maintain quality tools and accurate record keeping.
* Monitors and documents the operation of the assigned machines including periodic watches every 2 hours; performs minor maintenance and reports major repairs needed, to equipment as required.
* Properly records information on production as instructed including pass down information. Keeps work area clean, safe, and organized.
* Maintains safety and Quality Assurance standards by knowing and applying proper procedures for operating the machines within the department.
* Assists with company 5S program and keeps work area clean or spills.
* Read handheld measuring instruments properly and support less experienced operators in measurement.
* Transport parts to and from machines without damage. Cross train in CMM and other advanced measurement tools.
* Complies with applicable requirements of Kyocera International, Inc. policy, including ISO 9000, ISO 14001, ISO18001, ITAR and any other site-specific regulations.
* Produce precision parts within the time constraints on the work order/ traveler. Support machinists as needed.
* Ability to use G/M codes at the controller to adjust.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Process Engineering Specialist supports the improvement and implementation of production processes and procedures. This position involves the setup of new production systems and the analyses of current systems. The Process Engineering Specialist takes direction and training from other engineers and department managers, typically working closely with the production floor. This person may be assigned a variety of projects with some supervision. Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which suggestions can be made. May work closely with facilities and supply management when new parts or repairs are needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Requires 2 year degree in engineering.
Hands-on mechanical and analytical experience in a lab or production environment.
Ability to manage assigned projects and follow through on process improvement procedures.
Knowledge of ceramic and industrial parts processing and properties is preferred.
Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, Lean and Six Sigma Principles.
Intermediate computer skills, to include use of MS Office Suite, Solidworks, SolidCam, Autocad, and machine programming.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with outside vendors and to generate and deliver presentations to internal customers.
