This position is responsible for implementation of strategic supply chain agreements with suppliers including material release agreements and inventory management strategies. Position Overview: L'Oréal is seeking a seasoned Senior Component Supply Planner to ensure the availability of critical components and materials for manufacturing our iconic beauty and cosmetic products. For this role, you should be adept in materials supply planning, inventory management, supplier relationship management, leadership through influence, project management, continuous improvement, and performance metrics and reporting. Key Responsibilities: * Materials Supply Planning: * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production schedules, sales forecasts, and product demand fluctuations. * Monitor and analyze demand patterns, material consumption, and supplier performance to make data-driven decisions. * Responsible for AC/raw materials order placement and verification of delivery with suppliers * Review Material Requirements Plan (MRP) and/or action messages to initiate supply chain requirements with focus being short to medium term (1 to 6 months) * Consider customer priorities, UP economic constraints, and line and vessel availability in the schedule. * Perform call-offs of AC/raw materials to ensure the feasibility of the short-term plan with minimum stock coverage * Update and monitor reporting systems to ensure appropriate progress of the fixed schedule, vendor production, deliveries and launches. * Inventory Management: * Implement inventory optimization techniques to minimize excess or obsolete inventory while ensuring a reliable supply for production. * Regularly assess and adjust safety stock levels based on demand variability and lead time fluctuations. * Manage inventory aging and obsolescence, and propose corrective actions as needed. * Ensure the accuracy of UP inventories of all article types and oversee inventory management and the applicable reporting methods, including DOS and financial landings to Trend & Budget * Execute Bills of Materials (BOM) * Limit/control of expiration. * Identify, analyze, and reconcile inventory discrepancies. * Reduction/prevention of Excess & Obsolete * Data accuracy management in SAP * Internal & Supplier Relationship Management: * Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with component suppliers, negotiating terms, addressing supply constraints, and ensuring timely deliveries. * Collaborate with suppliers to improve lead times, quality, and cost-effectiveness while adhering to ethical and sustainability standards. * Follow call-offs and be the first line of communication with the supplier in the event of an exception. * Work with Launch Managers and various support groups to accomplish the new product implementation process. * Responsible for order placement and verification of delivery with suppliers over a rolling 12-month period. * Interact with various support groups such as Safety, Finance, A/P, Processing, and warehouse to achieve common goal. * Perform other responsibilities and support projects, as required. * Leadership through Influence: * Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to junior planners, contributing to their knowledge base and growth within the organization. * Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. * Project Management & Continuous Improvement: * Continuously identify and implement process improvements within materials planning and procurement functions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. * Lead and manage supply chain projects to enhance stakeholder collaboration, align supply chain activities with business goals, and drive optimization efforts. * Performance Metrics and Reporting: * Utilize advanced supply chain management tools and systems to analyze complex data sets, derive actionable insights, and support informed decision-making. * Generate sophisticated reports and dashboards to communicate supply planning performance, trends, and opportunities to senior management. * Monitor and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to materials procurement.
