What you'll do:
This is a great opportunity for a Full Time Psychiatrist to join out team and provide services to high needs children. Under medical direction, the Psychiatrist performs specialized duties in clinical settings or off-site; performs mental health assessments; manages the care of patients within the field of psychiatric mental health; provides health education to these patients, specific to the needs of the older adult mentally ill. Works in a collaborative strength based, family centered service planning team environment. Performs clinically sound interventions to support client problem resolution; provides appropriate customer service; maintains appropriate, organized documentation; attends Team Meetings as available, provides clinical consultation and serves as a source for information and referral. **Performance incentives available for this position.
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations including medical histories. Evaluates complaints of an acute and chronic nature. Formulates an initial diagnosis and treatment plan for individuals with common mental health problems.
Provide medication, medication monitoring, medication education, crisis response, direct mental health services, and medical record documentation, as required.
Develop working relationships with primary care clinics and coordinates care with PCP's and other professionals as indicated.
Provide support, psychotherapy and supportive counseling for clients in regards to psychosocial, environmental, and physical well-being.
Collaborate with other professionals for less common and more complicated mental health problems.
Provide health education to clients, caregivers and family, as well as staff.
Monitor changes of clients with persistent mental illness.
Additional duties and responsibilities:
Attend scheduled departmental meetings to maintain connection with other members of the department and to learn of changes within the agency and within the greater mental health community.
Participate in supporting the operations of the Agency's Quality Improvement Program as directed.
Maintain a professional demeanor and positive working relationships and effective ongoing communication with all EMPACT-SPC staff, referring organizations, behavioral health clients, parole officers, case managers, service coordinators and school personnel.
Work collaboratively with supervisor in the development and implementation of paperwork procedures.
Participate in agency fund raising activities as requested by management.
What you'll provide:
Education/Licensure:
Must have completed either an allopathic or osteopathic medical school and have completed a psychiatry residency. If working with children, need to have completed a child psychiatry fellowship.
Must be eligible to participate in the Medicare, Medicaid and other federal health care programs; must be both privileged and credentialed by the ADHS and Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA). Failure to meet these criteria at least two weeks prior to the start date may result in a delay in appointment or cancellation of employment offer. Once appointed, employees must retain these qualifications; failure to do so shall result in the termination of employment.
Verification of qualifying experience, education, and/or training is required at the time of filing. Experience:
One year experience as a psychiatrist, with experience in a psychiatric inpatient unit, psychiatric emergency service, clinic or mental health center.
One year experience in a lead staff role.
One year experience with child, adolescent and/or adult mentally ill population in an outpatient setting.
Must have experience working with a diverse population.
Skills:
Knowledge of community based behavioral health services and understanding of Arizona vision and principals as outlined in the Jason K settlement.
Must have knowledge of spectrum of mental illnesses, DSM codes and descriptions, psychotropic medications and crisis intervention.
Oral and written fluency in Spanish preferred and knowledge of the customs and cultures of Hispanic communities.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, have ability to interact with the public and consumers with diplomacy and tact.
Must be able to work both independently and with a team, be able to identify priorities, stay organized and handle multiple tasks.
Must have fingerprint clearance card with ADHS children clearance or be eligible to obtain one.

This is a great opportunity for a Crisis Specialist to join our dynamic department in Tempe or Glendale, AZ and provide crisis services. The job responsibilities will include but are not limited to responding to crisis calls, completing crisis interventions for ongoing clients, case management and coordination of care, as well as interfacing with first responders. Work Schedule: Four 10-hour work days per week (DAY, WEEKEND and EVENING shifts available).

Essential Responsibilities:
Provide direct in-home, in-office, in-school and community based crisis services. These services will include but not be limited to crisis intervention and de-escalation, transportation, maintaining or establishing community stabilization, client support and/or supervision, parenting training, behavior management training and assistance, and provision and assistance in accessing appropriate community referrals.
Ensure quality service delivery including clinical care and all associated documentation. Maintain all client records in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Provide comprehensive services to clients and assist in coordinating communication with other departments of the agency to accomplish continuity of care. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all related state, community behavioral health, and contracting organizations.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
This position receives a differential in pay, which is specific to this position only. The stated responsibilities accompany the position and the high-risk nature of the account for the differential.
Will be required to be flexible in terms of shift location and to change location if requested at the beginning of the shift to better meet the needs of the department.
May be required to use "down time" for special projects to benefit Crisis and/or other departments within the agency.
Attend all required meetings and trainings, even if they fall outside of the regularly scheduled shift. Evening and night hours may be required. Receive supervision each month from a Master's level clinical coordinator. If department meetings or scheduled supervision is missed because of a crisis call, the specialist is required to reschedule the meeting to assure that all supervision requirements are met.
Will be required to work beyond his/her shift with no advanced warning if the crisis situation warrants or if required paperwork is not complete at the end of the shift. The Department Manager or Director of Programs must approve overtime associated with staying over shift.
May be required to use own personal vehicle if agency van is out of service or is unavailable. However, will not be required to transport clients in own vehicle.

What you'll provide:

Essential Responsibilities:

What you'll do:
Our entry level Crisis Transition Navigator (CTN) works with individuals who have received services from the Maricopa County crisis system (Non-Title XIX and Title XIX-Non-SMI Adults). The Crisis Transition Navigator serves as a bridge to ongoing services by coordinating and monitoring RBHA/Community-based resources and facilitates delivery of these necessary services and supports. The goal of the CTN is to provide individuals who are voluntary and able to give informed consent, assistance in accessing post-crisis services to assist with food, housing, financial stability, and identifying support systems.
Essential Responsibilities:
Meets with consumers of crisis services in the community as referred by specified crisis providers. Completes AHCCCS applications and/or collaboration with DES offices for persons that meet AHCCCS eligibility criteria. Assists in mapping out the most appropriate next steps for the individual who may need assistance in accessing various other providers or community based services after their initial crisis has passed, including development of a Crisis Navigation Plan (CNP). The plan will be self-directed by the recipient and coordinated with the CTN. The CTN will follow up and assist with implementation of the needs identified in the CNP. Will review and monitor recipient progress.
Develops and collaborates with an extensive network of Community Based and RBHA resources. The CTN must know how to access various social/behavioral health community based services that can include but are not limited to: food, clothing, housing, support services, and Outpatient Crisis Stabilization/Transition services. This can also include making necessary appointments, assisting with scheduling or arranging SMI evaluations and Outpatient Stabilization/Transition services when applicable.
Maintains accurate and thorough documentation in progress notes and in the client's Crisis Navigation Plan (CNP).
Serves as a short term recovery coach, helping the participant develop and implement self-directed recovery plan, sharing experience, providing support, teaching self-management techniques and reassurance.
Requires competency (via specialized training) in: Risk Assessment, In Home Safety, AHCCCS eligibility/Affordable Health Care Act, SMI eligibility, Crisis System, Other identified peer specialist and system training
Additional Responsibilities may include:
Facilitating appointments with treatment providers for behavioral health assessments when applicable.
Coordinating post-crisis/stabilization transportation.
Assisting recipients in obtaining Birth Certificates and/or other forms of acceptable identification if needed.
Identifying transportation options.
Referral for SMI evaluations when criteria are met.
Coordinating housing with community shelters, apartments, and housing facilities.
Recommends to the Program Coordinator or Manager changes that would improve service delivery. Select and develop one specialized function related to the development of department services.

Maintain and refine hiring, training, and performance evaluation procedures to meet licensure, accreditation, and legal requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:
Under the Vocational and Rehabilitation Services Interagency Governmental Agreement (IGA), works in partnership with assigned Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor(s), community rehabilitation program providers and others involved in assisting consumer to become involved in or maintain involvement in meaningful community activities or employment.
Collaborate with the Employment/Rehabilitation Services Department to ensure the vocational and rehabilitation services IGA is implemented at the direct service level.
Utilize psychiatric rehabilitation best practices to assess consumers' needs including living, learning, meaningful community activities paid/unpaid, create volunteer opportunities to assist consumers in reaching their desired goals.
Assesses, documents and provides the appropriate level of support and skill needed to assist consumers with pursuing and/or maintaining their living, learning, working and social leisure goals.

Our entry level Crisis Transition Navigator (CTN) works with individuals who have received services from the Maricopa County crisis system (Non-Title XIX and Title XIX-Non-SMI Adults). The Crisis Transition Navigator serves as a bridge to ongoing services by coordinating and monitoring RBHA/Community-based resources and facilitates delivery of these necessary services and supports. The goal of the CTN is to provide individuals who are voluntary and able to give informed consent, assistance in accessing post-crisis services to assist with food, housing, financial stability, and identifying support systems.
Essential Responsibilities:
Meets with consumers of crisis services in the community as referred by specified crisis providers. Completes AHCCCS applications and/or collaboration with DES offices for persons that meet AHCCCS eligibility criteria. Assists in mapping out the most appropriate next steps for the individual who may need assistance in accessing various other providers or community based services after their initial crisis has passed, including development of a Crisis Navigation Plan (CNP). The plan will be self-directed by the recipient and coordinated with the CTN. The CTN will follow up and assist with implementation of the needs identified in the CNP. Will review and monitor recipient progress.
Develops and collaborates with an extensive network of Community Based and RBHA resources. The CTN must know how to access various social/behavioral health community based services that can include but are not limited to: food, clothing, housing, support services, and Outpatient Crisis Stabilization/Transition services. This can also include making necessary appointments, assisting with scheduling or arranging SMI evaluations and Outpatient Stabilization/Transition services when applicable.
Maintains accurate and thorough documentation in progress notes and in the client's Crisis Navigation Plan (CNP).
Serves as a short term recovery coach, helping the participant develop and implement self-directed recovery plan, sharing experience, providing support, teaching self-management techniques and reassurance.
Requires competency (via specialized training) in: Risk Assessment, In Home Safety, AHCCCS eligibility/Affordable Health Care Act, SMI eligibility, Crisis System, Other identified peer specialist and system training
Additional Responsibilities may include:
Facilitating appointments with treatment providers for behavioral health assessments when applicable.
Coordinating post-crisis/stabilization transportation.

Essential Responsibilities:
Provide direct in-home, in-office, in-school and community based crisis services. Other Duties and Responsibilities:
This position receives a differential in pay, which is specific to this position only. The stated responsibilities accompany the position and the high-risk nature of the account for the differential.
Will be required to be flexible in terms of shift location and to change location if requested at the beginning of the shift to better meet the needs of the department.
May be required to use "down time" for special projects to benefit Crisis and/or other departments within the agency.
