Must be able to work various shifts including evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays as required by program needs. Work will require physical activity to be performed. Employee will be required to travel from time to time. The remaining 5% of the shift will be spent doing administrative tasks. Administrative tasks should be performed at workstation.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed throughout the treatment facility focusing primarily on the kitchen area, food service area and food storage area. Work is normally performed both inside and outside with varying temperatures. Employee is expected to work in various facility locations. Employees do not have private or personal workspace and are expected to work in various parts of the treatment facility as needed. The Kitchen Assistant must be able to operate all related commercial kitchen equipment. All OHL employees must be able to work proficiently with computers, copiers, and fax machines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications include the following:
· Knowledge of basic sanitation rules and practices
Knowledge of food ordering and inventory practices
Proficient in MS Office
Current Valid Louisiana Driver's License
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include the following:
· Serv-Safe certification
· Functioning personal vehicle
· 6 months experience with substance abuse treatment
