A Day in the Life: As a Non-CDL Driver, you play an essential role in the safe and timely transport of goods within company property and to designated delivery locations. This position involves operating company vehicles, loading and unloading products, verifying delivery accuracy, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will follow assigned delivery schedules, perform equipment inspections, and communicate effectively with team members and customers. While working independently or as part of a delivery team, you are expected to uphold safety standards, maintain documentation, and contribute to efficient operations. General Job Summary The Delivery Driver will be heavily involved in handling regular deliveries to our Commercial Customers. You will be expected to deliver the Ace brand promise of helpful and amazing service at all times through professional conduct and a proactive approach to solving the problems of customers as they are spotted. You will handle or assist picking up or receiving, pulling, packing and loading products to be delivered. As you engage customers at their place of business you will take note of various customer needs or selling opportunities and pass those along to the assigned Account Manager or Business Development Manager. Occasionally assist regular store retail operations with delivery of retail products as long as those deliveries don't slow the pace of commercial deliveries and regular sales to commercial customers. Recommend product stocking or special order needs to the Commercial Fulfillment Center Specialist and at times the assigned BDM. Observe and obey all traffic laws and operate safely and efficiently while operating any and all Westlake Ace equipment. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. What does this mean to you? Our deliveries keep you in town. This position requires minimal lumber/truss yard work. Responsibilities: Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck, flat bed and roller bed. Safely operate a forklift and forklift certified. Deliver prefabricated wooden trusses & dimensional lumber. Load and unload trusses and lumber. Report any issues or incidents to dispatch Verifies order details and maintain log of deliveries.
