    LaBella is currently seeking a full-time Civil Engineer to join our Municipal group in Albany, NY (can also be located and work from Poughkeepsie, NY, White Plains, NY, Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY or Potsdam, NY). Work on a variety of exciting water resources and floodplain management projects. Oversight and guidance of projects from initial concept through construction. Preparation of project proposals. Collaborate with the team, mentor, and lead appropriately. Prepare feasibility studies and engineering reports. Perform and review detailed hydrology and hydraulic calculations and modeling. Attend training courses to further technical skills and knowledge. Produce effective and high-quality project documents (including reports, drawings, and specifications). Management of projects and clients. Provide bidding and construction administration services. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. 8-12 years of experience. Effective communication Skills. Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to travel to project sites and work remotely as needed. Ability to manager workload and budgets as allocated. Experience using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, and Hydrology / hydraulics software. Familiarity with AutoDesk products and ArcPro. Proficient in Microsoft productivity suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Ability, willingness, and enthusiasm to learn as necessary to fill different roles based on project needs that vary in breadth, depth, and subject matter. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate efficiently with teammates in different disciplines and different locations. Ability and willingness to receive and understand instructions/guidance and complete tasks independently. Registered as a Professional Engineer preferred or E.I.T. on track to become a PE. Experience using Civil 3D and/or REVIT software and associated best practices related to layering, drawing/figure production, and coordination between disciplines. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Floodplain Manager or general understanding of floodplain management. Understanding of building code pertaining to floodplain development. Experience in filling FEMA Letters of Map Change. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Occasionally move about inside the office to access conference rooms, office machinery, etc, Occasionally ascends/descends stairs to access meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. (Elevator is avail) Occasionally ascends/descends stairs and ladders for observation facility operations and construction activities. Frequently communicates with design team members, with clients and public, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these conversations. Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Occasional travel, primarily within New York State. Ability to access all areas of project sites and conduct physical evaluations of site and facilities, including ability to climb, walk a significant distance, sometimes on uneven ground; and occasional minor lifting ( Willingness to enter confined spaces, with requisite training, is required.
