    **Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** The primary focus of this position is on the repair and fabrication of pipe, sheet, and structural assemblies within a manufacturing facility environment. Most work involves welding stainless steel or aluminum. Tasks may involve working from blueprints or creating original builds. **Responsibilities** + Repair and fabricate pipe, sheet, and structural assemblies. + Perform stainless steel and aluminum welding. + Work from blueprints or create original builds. + Lay out and fabricate new and replacement piping systems. + Install valves and related piping equipment. + Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications. + Tack-weld and weld components and assemblies using GTAW, SMAW, MIG, and gas welding processes. + Use plasma machines, acetylene torches, band saws, and cut-off machines to size materials. + Use pipe threading and cutting machines to prepare threaded pipes. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in blueprint reading. + Experience in welding, pipe welding, and TIG welding. + Knowledge of mechanical and pneumatics systems. + Experience in industrial maintenance. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Tasks include layout and fabrication of piping systems. + Installation of valves and related equipment. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy paid drive time while on contract, contributing to a rewarding and supportive work environment. **Work Environment** This position is based in an industrial processing building, which is loud and can be hot at times. Work occurs in all areas of the building, including some outdoor tasks. Generally, projects are completed in teams of two, but most preventive maintenance tasks are done independently. The work schedule consists of four 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday, with overtime available on Fridays. There is little flexibility in start time, which is between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wahpeton, ND. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.
