ROLE SUMMARY The Lab Technician supports day-to-day laboratory operations with a primary focus on hydrocarbon extraction, refinement, and distillation processes. Responsibilities include intaking raw materials, setting up and operating equipment, managing batch records, maintaining facility and equipment cleanliness, and ensuring all tasks follow SOPs, GMP standards, and safety protocols. Safety & Equipment Maintenance * Maintain strict safety and injury-prevention focus. * Handle hazardous waste properly. * Keep lab equipment and workspaces clean and organized. * Inspect and maintain extraction and distillation equipment. Inventory & Material Handling * Maintain inventory of raw materials, solvents, supplies, equipment, and finished goods. * Receive, store, and label materials per SOPs. * Track solvent use, recovery, and replenishment. * Assist in training new technicians. * Support the Tech 2 and Laboratory Manager in workflow improvements. * Communicate effectively across departments.
