The above meets the required criteria as defined by CLIA regulations for High Complexity testing (42 CFR 493.1489 and 42 CFR 493.1491). Experience: Required: 2 years as a medical technologist in acute care facility, or 1 year as a medical technologist in acute facility and a master's degree Certifications: Required: Registered with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or CSMLS within 12 months of hire). GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) Lab Assistant will have responsibility for assisting and supporting the Aviation Maintenance Technology Instructional team in both the classroom and lab (hangar). Work hours will be between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., primarily Monday through Friday with occasional work on Saturdays, for 18 hours per week. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: * Prepare lab projects (materials, tools, equipment, technical data and documentation) for each course project. * Monitor and maintain (minimum levels) of all project consumables. * Initiate procurement process for consumables. * Identify need and initiate procurement process for equipment replacement as required. * Maintain and/or oversee repair of all lab equipment. * Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition. * Ensure equipment is in calibration as required by manufacturer. * Audit and maintain inventory of all lab equipment. * Maintain currency of technical data. * Ensure labs are in clean and safe condition for daily use. * Develop and implement a preventative maintenance process for equipment. * Identify facilities maintenance and repair requirements and work with the Facilities Department to resolve. * Work cooperatively with the Facilities Department and Triumvirate Environmental to insure safe and secure lab operating environment. Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience in aircraft maintenance, operations, manufacturing or military aviation. * Valid driver's license. The above meets the required criteria as defined by CLIA regulations for High Complexity testing (42 CFR 493.1489 and 42 CFR 493.1491). Experience: Required: 2 years as a medical technologist in acute care facility, or 1 year as a medical technologist in acute facility and a master's degree Certifications: Required: Registered with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or CSMLS within 12 months of hire). Equivalency evaluation by ECE, NACES or AICE for non-US trained personnel must be completed within 30 days of hire. Licensure, as required by State.
