Temp Flexibility in work time is needed. This position may be required to work between 4pm and 2:30am for 10 hours per day Monday-Friday plus 6am and 4:30pm for 10 hours per day Weekends. This individual is responsible for setting up mixing tanks and blending machines for production support of the production lines per instructions from the department supervisor in a manner that is timely and safe in accordance with all quality standards per batch mixing work orders and mixing instructions. This individual will also fill drums with blended product when needed. This individual will work with minimal supervision but also contribute to a positive team atmosphere. Responsibilities also include safe operation of equipment (mixers, scales, meters, pumps, forklifts, etc.), raw material handling and measuring, communication with material handlers, and sampling of raw materials for the purpose of providing Certificates of Analysis, updated SDS and other documents for the Lab Technician. This position also provides input to the Blending Manager on process improvements within the facility. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience. Previous experience mixing / blending chemicals. n/a Highly dependable. Ability to think through minor problems and work with management to solve larger problems. Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including safety rules, operating procedures, product recipes, material identification, etc. Able to manipulate 55 gallon drums of chemicals. Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
