The Lab Tech I position will be sampling, processing, and testing materials according to established procedures and specifications. Other responsibilities include: Perform and keep documentation of routine maintenance and calibration of equipment. Prepare testing and inspection reports, and safely maintaining documents. Regularly review test procedures, plans, specifications, general notes, and shop/working drawings before performing assigned duties. Continual communication with direct report regarding priorities, deadlines, progress, and delays on all projects. Demonstrate the safe usage, storage, and maintenance of all tools and equipment, including company vehicle. Meet deadlines and priorities according to established procedures. Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external personnel. Understand, adhere, and participate in the Raba Kistner Health & Safety and BBS Programs, setting a good example of our safety standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Completion of Troxler Manufacturing or equal radiation safety course to utilize nuclear gauges, ACI Field Testing Technician Grade 1, and ACI Concrete Strength Testing are all preferred. Otherwise successful applicants without these certifications/trainings may be required to attain them after employment. Related experience may be substituted with approval from the client. Good oral and written communications skills, ability to read and understand procedures, specifications, instruction, labels, reports, etc.is key. Must have some knowledge of basic math and science to analyze lab results.
