The Associate Lab Lead acts as the primary point of contact for lab operations, maintaining uptime, reliability, and consistency of forensic processes. OVERVIEW: The Lab Assistant serves as a lab resource for students while students perform lab tasks. Under the supervision of the primary course instructor, the Lab Assistant is responsible for the lab supervision and assessment of the students while on participating in hands-on labs. Including vitals (height, weight, BP, etc.), past medical history, and reason for visit/chief complaint when coverage is needed. Obtains blood specimens from patients by skin puncture or venipuncture using appropriate techniques and maintaining the integrity of the specimen in relation to the test being performed and/or requested when coverage is needed.
