Precisely and accurately performs and evaluates a variety of technical procedures. Performs laboratory tests in his/her licensed areas, based on blood, tissue and body fluids using both automated analyzers and manual methods. All equipment is used and maintained according to Manufacturer and SOP. This position requires the use of established quality control monitors to ensure proper processing and accurate test results. Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) with minimum of one (1) to four (4) years of experience in all areas of laboratory testing being performed. Responsible for specimen processing, performing a full range of laboratory tests and reporting laboratory findings in a non-supervisory position. Each individual performs only those high complexity tests that are authorized by the laboratory director and require a degree of skill commensurate with the individual's education, training or experience, and technical abilities.
