Summary:
The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. This role involves preparing patients and equipment, monitoring hemodynamic data, assisting physicians during procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the process. The technologist operates specialized imaging equipment, maintains sterile technique, and collaborates with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care. This position requires technical expertise in cardiovascular procedures, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
Essential Work Functions:
Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional procedures
Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, and stents, and operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
Operate and maintain imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitoring systems, ensuring proper functionality
Scrub in and assist with sterile field setup, ensuring adherence to infection control and procedural protocols
Perform sheath removal and hemostasis using manual compression or closure devices as directed
Maintain accurate documentation, including patient records, imaging data, and equipment logs
Assist with inventory management, stocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage of sterile instruments and medications
Adhere to radiation safety protocols, ensuring proper use of lead aprons, shields, and dosimeters
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

Job Description
Position Purpose
The purpose of this position is to assist and tutor students in a lab setting to complete their educational requirements by providing the knowledge, skills, and assessments essential to obtain a credential in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) field (EMR, EMT, and Paramedic). Additionally, the incumbent will operate virtual and physical equipment and software to assist faculty in running scenario-based learning and assessments.
Position Responsibilities
Assist and tutor students in essential emergency skills aligned with EMS discipline standards. This will be done by facilitating proper techniques; helping students to understand the concepts; helping students to interpret results; assisting students in write-up of Emergency Skills Techniques; and operating simulation software, programs, and/or equipment.
Maintain supply inventories. Control of emergency skills equipment and supplies by supervising the set-up of the emergency skills lab; prepping the materials, supplies and equipment needed; and maintaining standardization of said materials, supplies, and equipment.
Deliver scenarios on state-of-the-art simulation equipment. Coordinate emergency skills procedures by testing course learning outcomes and assisting with testing of emergency skills/course set-up; supervising students during testing; checking results and recording scores.
Service and maintain emergency skills equipment by checking operations; replacing used or broken equipment; and keeping inventory, stocking, and ordering of equipment as needed.
Maintain emergency skills records by checking worksheets and recording grades. Will record test scores as requested.
Salary Range:
$21.89 - $30.58/hour
(DOQ - Salary Placement will be done at time of hire.)
The shift differential for employees working before 6:00 A.M. or after 6:00 P.M. shall be two dollars and twenty-five cents ($2.25) per hour for all hours worked before 6:00 A.M. or after 6:00 P.M.
Minimum Qualifications
Post-secondary or industry relevant licensure in Paramedics AND One (1) year of teaching/tutoring experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at the high school level or above OR
Four (4) years of work experience in Paramedics where no degree /certificate/diploma/licensure is required. OR
An equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Current post-secondary or industry certification/diploma/degree or relevant licensure in EMS, as well as American Heart Association CPR certification.
State of Minnesota EMSRB and National Registry certification.

Job Summary
Oversee and perform all activities associated with the outpatient registration service and scheduling of outpatients including supporting all other front office staff.
Coordinate the complete demographic and insurance intake, computerized registration, scheduling of patients and verifying the individual's insurance coverage with a customer service oriented approach.
Orient patients to the center and coordinate additional patient services as needed.
Demonstrate evidence of advanced operational knowledge, teaching and professional involvement, and outpatient center marketing and community involvement for Advanced Patient Service Representative role.
* Support is provided to other center team members by answering phones, assisting customers, and fulfilling any cross trained responsibilities.
* Support is provided to other staff to ensure effective orientation and continuous development to achieve performance standards.
* Scheduling status is maintained daily and potential problems are addressed with corrective actions.
* Patient pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, and scheduling are completed per center standards.
* Patients are greeted, assisted and appropriate staff notified of patient arrival.
* Administrative duties such as answering the phone, confirming appointments, supporting insurance requirements processes, photocopying, typing, faxing, inventory of supplies, sorting mail and handling other administrative duties are completed per center guidelines.
* Medical record setup, maintenance, and discharge are completed per center guidelines in a timely manner.
* Monthly patient satisfaction questionnaires are processed for current patients according to center standards
* Customer service delivery is carried out to achieve stated goals.
* Insurance approvals and documentation are recorded in the medical record and computer system in accordance with center standards.

The Medical Assistant - Clinical and Laboratory Support provides both clinical and laboratory services to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations. About this position
The Lab technician, Clinic is responsible for the collection and processing of customer specimens and the performance and evaluation of a range of clinical laboratory tests to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of customer treatment. Customers may include infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
Requirements
Education
• Associate degree in medical laboratory Technician or Laboratory Science from an accredited institution required or bachelor's degree in medical technology or Clinic Laboratory Science from an accredited college/university or equivalent education and laboratory experience to qualify under CLIA guidelines required
Experience
• Experience preferred
• Knowledge of CLIA, Federal, and State regulations
• Must be detail oriented
