This is an entry level position that involves working both indoors and outdoors at our customer's sites. This is NOT a laboratory position. The field chemist is responsible for preparing containers for pick up, including identification of chemicals, lab packing hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals at customer locations. Limited travel including overnight stays (~10%).
DETAILS OF ASSIGNMENT:
Moving and preparing containers (pails, drums, viles) for transport
Identification of chemicals
Packing hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals at customer locations
Other duties as requested by Field Services Manager and corresponding team members.
Requirements
At times, the field technician may be required to wear a full or half face respirator, SCBA, or air lines.
Ability to routinely lift 60 pounds, with occasional lifting in excess of 60 pounds.
Insurable driving record.
Willingness to obtain a class B CDL with hazmat endorsement within the first year preferred.
High school graduate required.
2-year degree in chemistry or other natural sciences highly preferred.
The field technician is OSHA HAZWOPER 24-Hour trained. Typically, the work is conducted in Level D but sometimes conditions warrant Level B or C personal protective equipment. Some travel may be necessary for this position.
The field technician is capable of taking direction, working well with others, and decision-making. Additional skills required for this position are provided below.

This position is based in Cincinnati, OH and is a Direct Hire position. Pay is $20-23/hr. plus a night differential. This role is available for the 3rd shift.
Laboratory Technologist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Following prescribed procedures, performing any of the tests within any of the laboratory specialties. Calculating the results of the tests performed in necessary
Operating, calibrating, conducting performance checks, and maintaining any laboratory analyzers or equipment
Recognizing and correcting basic analyzer malfunctions and notifying management personnel when appropriate
Preparing reagents or media from a prescribed procedure
Evaluating media, reagents, and calibrators according to established criteria
Conducting established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products
Evaluating results of quality control and implements corrective action when indicated

Confirming and verifying results through knowledge of techniques, principles, and analyzers

Maintains and updates inventory of tools, special service kits, equipment, stock items, and vehicles. Monitors disbursements, orders needed items, and obtains bid offers on new equipment.
Utilizes college-approved contractors to ensure proper handling and disposal of waste oil and other hazardous materials. Keeps accurate records. Completes and maintains required documentation, including inventory reports, work orders, and requisitions.
Program Support
Assists instructors. Obtains and returns training materials, sets up vehicles and other training aids, and arranges chairs, tables, and equipment. Answers routine questions, gives aviation lab tours, provides general information, and performs other duties to maintain good public and student relations.

The Chemist in Quality Control and Applications at Applied Specialties Innovations (ASI) is responsible for the instrumental and wet chemistry techniques for testing materials, finished products, customer samples, and components. • Perform duties related to the Grain Inspection Laboratory as required or directed by the Site Supervisor or Team Leader
• Identifies and reports problems with equipment or procedures to shift leaders, and assists in regular maintenance of equipment.
• Read and understand all procedures that pertain to testing being performed.
Job Requirements:
• Three positions available:
Saturday and Sunday 12:30pm to 11:00pm for the part time position for 20 hours each week
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday from 6:30am to 5:00pm for 40 hours each week
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30am to 7:00pm for 30 hours each week
Pay: $14.50 per hour
Qualifications
• Experience a plus
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to pass a background and drug test
• Good organizational skills and math skills
• Computer literate
