This position will be performing special stains, IHC stains, and will be using the Ventana Ultra and Benchmark special staining instrumentation. Includes checking 4 systems for IHC orders, pulling control slides, cutting patient tissue, loading and unloading slides, QC of controls slide distribution, making up antibodies, reagents and filling instruments.
Job Responsibilities
Perform IHC and special stains within Histology department
Process human tissue and body fluid specimens in preparation for microscopic exam
Perform technical duties related to the production of histopathological slides of surgical specimens
Section the embedded tissue, using a microtome and mount the section properly on a microscope slide
Perform various immunohistochemical tests on formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections
Process mounted sections through routine and special staining procedures
Properly orient and embed surgical tissue specimens
Prepare the stains and reagents needed for special procedures
Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
Operate and maintain manual and automated instruments
Perform and document equipment maintenance as needed
Record equipment log data in an accurate and timely manner
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies
Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, analysis and reporting
Document problems that may affect test performance and perform corrective actions as needed
Requirements:
Associate's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
Histology and ASCP certifications are preferred
Prior Immunohistochemistry experience is highly preferred
Experience with routine histology procedures and equipment
Comfortability embedding both large and small specimens
Ability to accurately read all labels and documents
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment is desirable
Familiarity with laboratory SOPs and safety protocol
Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen

The PSR III - Site Lead draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR III - Site Lead will direct daily activity at a Patient Service Center (PSC) or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) and leads more than one PSR on site. The PSR III - Site Lead can provide coverage at multiple locations for multiple roles. The PSR III - Site Lead must ensure that daily activities of the Patient Service Center/Mobile/Long Term Care/In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time. Aid in the due diligence of future selection of partner labs by providing assessment of their test compendium and how it maps to the Pharma Services test compendium.

**Hours of the role:**
+ First 8 weeks 40 hours per week (orientation. Pre-licensing prep, and training will be Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:45pm ET
+ Ability to work 40 hours per week during full hours of operation, 8am - 10:45pm ET, based upon business need (orientation, pre-licensing preparation, and training is typically 8:00am - 4:45pm ET for approximately the first 8 weeks; evening & weekends may be required post-training, with notice given on change of hours)
**Commitment Expectations:**
+ Generally, this means that students have limited, additional coursework (0 - 6 credit hours for the fall semester), along with outside commitments that are flexible to the agreed-upon work hours for the duration of the Co-op
+ This is not a situation where hours and location of work are at the discretion of the student; hours are agreed upon, in advance, with the Co-op supervisor, and work location needs to be a protected health information (PHI) compliant space (no coffee shops or generally other 'open' Wi-Fi networks are to be used)

**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Successfully become licensed in health & life within your resident state** within the first 30 days of Co-op, if not already licensed
+ Successfully pass FFM (Federally Facilitated Marketplace) and other potential state based exchanged certifications within first 90 days of Co-op
+ Handle leads from both a dedicated carrier leadsource (UHC) and a multi-carrier leadsource (HealthMarkets)
+ Receive inbound calls from leadsources and offer available ACA (Affordable Care Act) products based on an established sales process that includes required scripting and highly compliant, needs-based selling
+ Conduct follow-up calls to consumers who have not yet purchased the product(s) discussed on a previous call, which may include calls made by other licensed agents, to help close the sale
+ Handle chats with prospective customers according to training and guidelines for the lines of business identified

**Required Qualifications:**
