About the Team:
The Biopharma Laboratory Services (BLS) Digital Products team creates innovative digital solutions that transform clinical trial and drug development. We deliver measurable value to key customer segments by enhancing operational efficiency, elevating user experience, and driving superior business outcomes.
Internship Assignment Summary:
Contribute to product team initiatives that improve the use of protocol and lab documents during clinical trials and support downstream analytical services.
Review clinical trial protocols and accurately document protocol metadata into source systems, including translating lay clinical indications into standardized codes (e.g., ICD).
Develop expertise in protocol documentation and lab manual structure/ontology to support product requirements gathering
Support creation of clinical trial examples and test cases for machine learning training, including generating example lab queries and leveraging AI tools to expand datasets.
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master's or Ph.D.) in Clinical Research, Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or a related field.
Coursework or training in clinical trial design, protocol development, or medical terminology preferred.
Experience Requirements
Prior experience writing, reviewing, or interpreting clinical trial protocols (academic, industry, or internship experience acceptable).
Familiarity with clinical trial lab manuals, including structure and common laboratory procedures.
Working knowledge of clinical and medical terminology, with ability to translate lay terms into standardized codes using available resources (e.g., ICD10).
Exposure to clinical data standards (e.g., CDISC, OMOP) or ontology concepts.
Experience with data entry and documentation in clinical systems preferred.
Interest or experience in AI/ML applications in clinical research (e.g., creating test cases, generating examples) is desirable.

Labcorp has an opportunity for a talented student Software QA Engineer/Test Automation Engineer to join a motivated and productive team in delivering enterprise-level solutions. The student intern will continue to develop technical programming skills building test automation scripts for UI and API services using automation tools like Selenium, RestAssured and programming/scripting languages like Java/Python, etc. The student will perform manual testing to understand the application workflow and convert those into automated test scripts. Create and maintain automated test scripts in defined repository, integrate scripts into the continuous delivery pipeline and provide output reporting for test execution runs. Manage and organize test data and perform data analysis.
Education and Experience Requirements:

Under the direction of the Head of Schools, the Reading Interventionist carries out the primary responsibility for planning and delivering instruction based on Common Core Standards and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.

Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and deliver academic instruction, differentiating as necessary to address student learning needs.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of each student's learning challenges based on available records and current observable data. Formulate goals and objectives to address student needs and implement appropriate instructional programs to facilitate progress.
Assist the Behavior Specialist with monitoring the schoolwide Positive Behavior Training (PBT) management system at the classroom level.
Monitor each student's progress against content standards and IEP goals by administering formal and informal assessments, constructing a portfolio of student work samples, and maintaining records of student grades as applicable.
Conduct three formal parent-teacher conferences per year with follow-up written summary; communicate progress via phone and email as necessary.
Prepare and update written annual IEP goals and progress summaries.
Present progress and proposed goals at IEP meetings to district representatives, parents/guardians, and any other attendees.
Under the direction of the Mentor Teacher, serve as a test administrator for the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress.
Co-facilitate weekly team meetings with the classroom Behavior Specialist.

Our Outpatient Mental Health Program offers comprehensive mental health support for individuals, couples, families, and groups of all ages who are navigating challenges such as sadness, stress, anxiety, trauma, or difficulty adjusting to life changes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Instruct, assist, and support clients in areas such as; interpersonal communication skills, community resource utilization and integration skills, crisis assistance, relapse prevention skills, health care directives, budgeting and shopping skills, healthy lifestyle skills and practices, cooking and nutrition skills, transportation skills, mental illness symptom management skills, household management skills, employment-related skills, and integration into community living.
Under the supervision of the Team Leader, provide evidence-based individual, group, and family therapy interventions.
Make changes in the treatment plan to ensure immediate and appropriate interventions are provided in response to changes in mental status/symptoms or behavior which may put the recipient at risk.
Provide medication monitoring and education regarding health maintenance to encourage a healthy lifestyle. These activities include: assist in maintaining consistent medication regime, deliver medication, discuss purposes and benefits of medications, and report any complaints or distress about medications.
Work collaboratively with a variety of community providers, employers, landlords, and families.
Maintain current knowledge of the mental health service system and the ability to locate information and resources for a variety of client needs within the mental health, medical, housing and social services system.
Participate in daily, mandatory, team meeting as well as all designated team activates.
Follow all current mandated reporter guidelines.

Hematology - Hematology will provide exposure to complete blood counts, coagulation testing, urinalysis and/or blood banking. Quest applies the latest technology to complete blood count testing, automated differentials, coagulation testing and ABO Rh testing. Interns will gain exposure to use of microscopes to perform manual body fluid counts and review blood smears for various disease states, including leukemias.
Microbiology - Microbiology will familiarize interns with clinical bacteriology, including culture methods, microscopy, EIA, automated identification and susceptibility systems such as the Vitek II, Vitek Mass Spectrometry Maldi-tof, and Microscan systems. Interns can expect experience with the Virtuo blood culture detection system and gain skills in processing various specimen types using sterile techniques, following safety protocols, and staining smears.
Molecular Diagnostics - Through Molecular Diagnostics, inters will learn about techniques to amplify RNA and DNA and observe RT-PCR. Time will be spent learning about unidirectional workflow and the need for dedicated equipment and aseptic techniques.
Immunology/ Serology - In Immunology / Serology, interns will focus on learning about infectious diseases and their diagnosis. Interns are exposed to a variety of methodologies such as ELISA, chemiluminescence, flocculation, IFA, Western Blot and DFA, and antigen/antibody binding reactions. Interns will also learn about limitations and interferences of these methodologies.
Biomedical Engineering- The intern will gain exposure to the focused responsibilities that support overall laboratory equipment and analyzer operations that can include repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting for laboratory testing equipment. This opportunity covers various laboratory testing equipment across laboratory departments.

The Position
The Summer Intern, Computational Biology & Bioinformatics will support Translational Genetics research at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals by contributing to the development and improvement of computational biology and bioinformatics workflows.
