The Program is specifically designed for physician assistants and nurse practitioners who are interested in a life-long career in emergency medicine with training sites in the Puget Sound through Tacoma Emergency Care Physicians (TECP), a subsidiary of WECP.
Program Objectives
To provide exceptional training and experience for APP professionals to have a successful career in any emergency department setting.
To prepare candidates well for recognized emergency medicine APP examinations (NCCPA-CAQ for physician assistants, AANPCB Boards for nurse practitioners)
Curriculum
Fifteen (15) months program duration with over 3000 hours of post graduate training
Close to 2400 hours of clinical training
Over 300 hours of didactics to include over an introductory bootcamp followed my weekly activities that include conferences, meetings, case presentations, ultrasound training, procedure lab or simulation.
Over 400 hours of independent study to include case review & presentation preparation, assigned CME and readings, and scholarly research project.
Expected commitment of 50 hours per week of the above activities
Phased Training with increasing levels of expected competency and confidence.

Pre-Boot Camp: 37 hours of on-line Emergency Medicine CME months before start of Program

The Cardiac Specialty Unit consists of 33 telemetry beds.
Specialized care is delivered on The Cardiac Specialty Unit to patients presenting with chest pain or unstable angina, as well as those recovering from placement of cardiac stents, permanent pacemakers, or AICDs.
The top three admitting diagnoses for 3 Riverstone are Coronary Atherosclerosis, Intermediate Coronary Syndrome, and Cardiac Dysrhythmias.
We have long-term staff members because of our culture and teamwork on the floor. The physicians see this as well and trust the judgment of our team.
Our team includes high quality RNs, Patient Care Assistants and Health Unit Coordinators. Our staff work 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week and rotate every other weekend and holiday. We have a modified self-scheduling model that covers a six-week period to allow for flexibility. Position Summary:
This position is designed to facilitate the transition upcoming graduates of an accredited nursing program into the work force. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities and supportive services under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Under the direction of the Clinical Research Manager, the Clinical ResearchAssistant will support the coordination and execution of clinical trials in accordance with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and contribute to other activities that support the Research Department's operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist with participant recruitment, screening, and enrollment activities
· Review medical records to determine participant eligibility
· Conduct informed consent discussions with potential study participants
· Maintain regular communication with study participants throughout the research process
· Coordinate study visits and ensure timely completion of study procedures
· Schedule radiological exams for various studies, including MRI, CT, X-ray, and other imaging procedures
· Collect and process biological specimens according to protocol specifications

Requirements:
Education and Experience
· Bachelor's degree in life science, nursing, or related field

Required Qualifications

In This Role:
* You will be using automated analyzers, microscopes and other laboratory diagnostic tools to perform analyses and tests that diagnose animal illnesses, injuries and diseases in support of veterinarian animal treatment.
