Required Work Experience:
Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
Job Accountabilities (Responsibilities)
Collect specimens according to established procedures. This includes, but not limited to: drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
Administer oral solutions according to established training.
Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders by utilizing lab technology systems, Client contact, and approved tools.
Ability to navigate a computer and accurately enter data is a requirement to be successful in this role.
Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
Processing specimens including: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required by test order.
Perform all non-patient facing duties, including inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and utilizing email as appropriate.
Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner and based on frequency, such as maintenance logs and temperature logs.
Complete online and in person training courses timely.

Ready to travel to a client assignment within a designated region with short notice.
Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
Collects specimens according to established procedures. Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. Urine or fecal) as required.
Reduces patient anxiety by providing a calm environment for patients before, during and after the collection process.

Matches laboratory requisition forms. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.

Follows all DOT guidelines when operating full-size commercial van/Promaster, and safely transports staff, supplies, and equipment.

Under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Team Lead, you will be a key ambassador for our department, providing outstanding customer service and ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.
Position: Part Time, Certified Phlebotomist
Hours: Night Rounder Shift, 3:00 am - 7:00 am - 5 days per week(40 hours per pay); Weekend rotation, Holiday rotation, and on call rotation required.
Holiday work hours: (11:00 pm - 7:30 am)

Key Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture, collection of blood specimens, and related procedures with precision and care.
Verify patient identity and ensure accurate specimen labeling.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Certified as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT/CPT) by the following agencies:
National Healthcare Association for Phlebotomist, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, American Medical Technologist, International Academy of Phlebotomy Services, and National Certification Academy of Science.
CPR certification (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and/or EKG training, as applicable.
Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to excellent customer relations.

Required Education

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
One year phlebotomy experience preferred.

Ability to navigate a computer and accurately enter data is a requirement to be successful in this role.
Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information and collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
Processing specimens including: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required by test order.
Perform all non-patient facing duties, including inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and utilizing email as appropriate.
Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
