Summary/Objective: The Mobile Fab Lab brings innovative STEAM and computer science learning to students in grades 1-8 across Bucks County. The Lab itself is a transit van, carrying an innovative suite of equipment ranging from AR/VR tools, an Epilog laser engraver, 3D printers, CNC routers, Silhouette fabricators, and a wide variety of robotics equipment. The Mobile Fab Lab visits schools for one-week residencies throughout the school year. The Mobile Fab Lab Program Coordinator will be a passionate ambassador for the Bucks IU's Mobile Fab Lab program. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the overall implementation of the Mobile Fab Lab and will drive the Lab to and from schools, set up the Lab space, lead innovative lessons with students under the auspices of classroom teachers, and will work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure the success of the Lab. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Nursing Laboratory Assistant is responsible for supporting students in the College's Nursing Skills Simulation Lab on an 'as needed' basis. The lab assistant might be asked to assist with simulations in different courses or assist with open lab hours. Assisting fundamentals labs with set up and implementation is also a possibility. 1. Assists students in their practice of psychomotor nursing skills individually or in groups. 2. Performs preparation and clean-up for scheduled lab classes 3. Assists nursing lab faculty and director with scheduled labs and simulation labs as needed 4. Runs computerized manikins for simulation 5. Maintains lab and lab equipment, including cleaning of manikins and simulators 6. Performs other duties as assigned by nursing director or dean. Assistant to the Instructor of the laboratory courses possible for the physics major (Phys301, 306, 328, 329, 338, 339). The student TA will help students taking the course through their laboratory work, including problem solving, equipment demonstration, troubleshooting, and preparation. Responsibilities: The student TA will be expected to interact with students in a respectful manner, in keeping with the values of the Physics and Astronomy Community. They will attend a 30-min weekly pedagogy meeting, and attend a three-hour lab. We expect 3.5 hrs of work per week, for roughly 12 weeks. Requirements: Full-time student at Ursinus College The student must have completed the course in question, the prerequisites therein, and have approval of the department AND instructor of the course.
