Salary: Job Description Medical Laboratory Technologist Under general supervision, performs routine tests in medical laboratory to provide data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, ensuring validity and accuracy of test results. Duties and Responsibilities Receive, processes, and handles blood and/or other biological specimens according to established procedures. 2. Performs a variety of clinical laboratory tests in the areas of blood chemistry/hematology and urinalysis, as assigned; conducts quantitative and qualitative chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine, performs blood counts using microscope. 3. Performs quality control on test results, ensuring validity and accuracy. 4. Performs calibration and troubleshooting on testing systems and instruments to ensure adherence to established standards of accuracy. 5. Job Purpose This position will be responsible for conducting material tests and writing reports on components submitted to the Materials Laboratory of traditional and electric driveline and motor products for light and commercial vehicle markets. Other duties include, but are not limited to the following. Job Duties and Responsibilities * Operate bandsaw and abrasive cutting saws, grinding and polishing equipment, digital cameras and microscopes, spectrometer and other analytical equipment such as hardness testers, tension-compression equipment and other advanced analytical equipment. * Perform routine and non-routine materials and failure analysis related to manufacturing, product, supplier and customer concerns * Interpret and summarize test results, observations and photographs in a formal laboratory report * Become proficient with laboratory equipment and test methods (e.g. hardness testing, microscopes, scanning electron microscope (SEM/EDS), mechanical testing, spectrometer, FTIR, x-ray diffraction, environmental testing, etc).
