    Job DescriptionAnalytical Lab TechnicianPay Rate: $20.00 The Analytical Lab Technician will use established tests and techniques to prepare samples for analysis and ascertain the purity and other attributes of mined metals. Responsibilities include the day-to-day operation of the sample prep laboratory, including sample receiving, drying, splitting, pulverizing and weighing. Additionally, sample processing may include dispensing chemical reagents, hot plate or microwave digestions, accurately diluting/mixing samples, and disposing of residual solutions. Also cleans and maintains assigned areas and performs other duties as needed. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to multitask, be a team player. The Histology Lab Assistant may be involved in minimal handling of Hazardous waste. Employees are responsible for following all Company policies and procedures. These policies and procedures will include adherence to regulatory standards such as CAP, CLIA and OSHA, including safety standards in performing all aspects of the functions below. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: I: Loading/Unloading slides Running down slides in a series of chemicals in preparation for coverslipping Flatting and organizing slides in preparation for the tech to QC Printing run reports for complete cases Scanning predictive markers cases utilizing digital imagining systems Instrument maintenance to include topping off chemicals, discarding waste and running cleaning cycles. Taking instrument offline and bringing them back on line May perform other duties as assigned. II: All duties listed above III: 1.
