The QA Technician is responsible for monitoring NSP's Quality Assurance Program, maintaining Quality Standards and Quality Integrity for NSP. Follow the laboratory's policies and procedures for testing analyses, reporting, and maintain records of patient test results. Report test results following protocols alerting providers and/or nurses about abnormal and/or critical results. Be capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either must correct the problems or immediately notify the technical consultant, clinical consultant, or director. Perform technical laboratory functions including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, and immunology. Prepares samples for pre-transfusion testing; issues and inspects components for transfusion purposes.
