American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for a Level 2 trauma acute care setting, requiring ARRT or RCIS credential and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
Position is in an acute care cardiac catheterization lab with 3 procedure labs
Cases include emergent revascularization, LHC, RHC, peripheral diagnostic/interventional, cardioversion, TEE, device placement, pericardiocentesis, and temporary pacemaker procedures
Daily average of 4 cases per lab with adult patient population
Equipment used includes Epic EMR, Philips Xper (Hemo), Siemens C-Arm, IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, and 4 port manifold
Day shifts Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with on-call 1-2 days per week and every 3rd weekend
On-call response time is 20 minutes
Floating to Heart and Vascular Pre/Post as needed for support
Scrubs provided; hospital-designated shoes required
Primary duties include panning, scrubbing in, and starting IVs
Orientation consists of one week in classroom and lab settings
Unit is supported by 24/7 intensivist MD and charge staff
Team lead manages shift scheduling, posted 17 days in advance
RTO up to 7 days permitted per 13 week contract and must be declared up front
Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
Former employees of CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year will not be considered
Bring your own lock for a locker
References required include one supervisor reference from within 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from within 3 years
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year Cath Lab experience
Current BLS certification required
Current ARRT or RCIS credential required; ARRT must be registered with NDMIRT
If ARRT credentialed and responsible for activating fluoroscopy, an active ND Rad Tech license is required
Lead badge (radiation badge) required prior to start
ACLS certification required
Experience with panning or scrubbing; panning experience is acceptable
Experience with IABP, Impella, Shockwave, IVUS, Rotapro, and starting IVs preferred
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
License required if applicable

Cath Lab Rads assist doctors during advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular procedures, and structural heart procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Scrubbing, monitoring and assisting providers as requested.
As a Cath Lab Rad, you will be responsible for:
Preparing the Cardiac Lab procedure rooms by ensuring adequate stock is available and in working condition, including instrument sterilization if applicable.
Preparing patient and equipment for cardiac lab procedures by preparing site of entry, draping patient, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.
Operating and ensuring the quality control of all equipment utilized in the cardiac cath lab. Knowledge of all related equipment within the laboratory.
Scrubbing in during procedures, assisting the physician in maneuvering catheters.
Obtaining and recording hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating-hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
Monitoring the patient's hemodynamic status during procedures in the cardiac cath lab.
Participating in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Cath Lab Rads should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
Must have 1 year of experience. The Cath Lab Rad must have BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) -CI preferred or CCI-RCIS certification, and state specific licensing when required.

Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE
The purpose of this position is to support an investigative research team at Cognitive Neurophysiology Lab. The individual will maintain transgenic colony of disease models, contributing on identifying translational biomarkers and understanding of basic mechanisms of rare neurodevelopment disease.
The individual will perform a variety of moderately complex laboratory duties and experiments. Position requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Initially, this individual will perform assignments working with regular supervision from the lab supervisor or the designee and over time will develop independence in planning and performing experiments. The lab fosters, a collaborative environment and continuing educational development, which is highly valued in applicants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Handle mouse colonies including breeding, separation, genotyping, maintain mouse database/inventories and ensure compliance with IACUC policies.
Communicate with the animal resource department and UCAR on animal colony matters and serve as an emergency contact for animal care staff.
Operate, maintain and use the lab equipment and the resources of the laboratory in an efficient and safe manner.
Assist
in-vivo
aseptic animal surgeries, behavior assessments, electrophysiology recording and maintains accurate records.
Orders supplies, overall maintain the order and cleanliness of the lab.
Helps to maintain documentation of Lab Safety in compliance with university policy requirements.
Keep inventory of chemicals on Chematix.
Ensure that approved procedures for proper disposal of all hazardous wastes are followed.
Keeps abreast of the field of neuroscience by reading journal articles, attending laboratory meetings, and attending relevant University seminars.
Maintains detailed lab journal. Records and calculates results.
Presents data in prescribed formats.
Uses input from PI and lab members to trouble shoot experiments and equipment malfunctions.
Performs general laboratory duties such as preparing reagents and re-stocking supplies and inventory maintenance.
Helps to ensure laboratory compliance for biosafety, EHS and fire inspections.
Other projects and job duties as assigned.
