Required Qualifications:
One year's recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification

Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance within state regulations
PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certifications

Summary:
The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for assisting in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. This role involves preparing patients and equipment, monitoring hemodynamic data, assisting physicians during procedures, and ensuring patient safety throughout the process. The technologist operates specialized imaging equipment, maintains sterile technique, and collaborates with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care. This position requires technical expertise in cardiovascular procedures, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
Essential Work Functions:
Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional procedures
Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, and stents, and operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
Operate and maintain imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitoring systems, ensuring proper functionality
Scrub in and assist with sterile field setup, ensuring adherence to infection control and procedural protocols
Perform sheath removal and hemostasis using manual compression or closure devices as directed
Maintain accurate documentation, including patient records, imaging data, and equipment logs
Assist with inventory management, stocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage of sterile instruments and medications
Adhere to radiation safety protocols, ensuring proper use of lead aprons, shields, and dosimeters
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent.
Six to twelve months of laboratory training/job experience necessary in order to become familiar with a variety of laboratory testing procedures.
Knowledge and experience preforming phlebotomy required.
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians, nursing personnel and other clinicians relative to patient testing and information gathering.
Ability to resolve technical problems using standard guides and procedures.
Analytical skills necessary in order to perform and interpret routine tests and recognize abnormal/critical test results.
Must be able to determine the appropriate course of action for abnormal, atypical or critical test results.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and other Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) software preferred.
Ability to travel.

Laboratory service areas have work environments with frequent exposure to physical discomforts due to unpleasant odors from specimens and chemicals. Job Duties:
Performs calibrations for product compliance with regards to color, moisture, grinds, and weights
Records data and test results of production and processing samples
Prepares cuppings and analyzes results
Maintains retention records and samples; handles rotations of in-and-out-of-production locations
Interfaces with production personnel for a variety of quality-related projects, including holds, pulling test samples, and gathering data
Performs various audits and tests from the raw material stage through the finish product to ensure quality
Provides technical support with an emphasis on consumer requirements, continuous product quality, and productivity requirements as well as verification for quality assurance and measurement analysis
Monitors product processing, consistency, and packaging integrity by conducting analytical testing, sensory, product/ingredient sampling, and documents

Qualifications & Requirements:
Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in a food and beverage environment preferred
Some technical and college courses related to food science, biology, or chemistry are required.
Associate degree or minimum of four years of experience as a Level II Inspector in a food, chemical, or agricultural manufacturing facility required (unless this is for an internship or college work program)
Previous sensory and taste skills required
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines required

The Criscione Lab is seeking an ambitious applicant who is eager to learn and is passionate about applying the scientific method in horticultural studies. This position will support a research and extension program in nursery production at the Hampton Roads Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Virginia Beach, VA. This will be a 36-month, benefits-eligible position. Continuation beyond the 36-month appointment will be based on performance and availability of funds.
The prospective candidate will oversee and manage research experiments in the field (nursery and greenhouse production), as well as assist with laboratory-based experiments. The candidate will assist in data archiving and collection, including measuring (1) different aspects of plant growth such as how shoots and roots develop, the shape and structure of the root system, and how the plant functions overall, (2) soilless substrate physical and chemical properties, (3) water analysis, and (4) possible entomology metrics.
This position is tailored for applicants with a passion and interest in horticulture, soils, or environmental science, providing the opportunity to strengthen their experience in both research and field work, particularly if graduate school is of interest. This position presents a unique opportunity for an entry level to limited-experience applicant to gain significant research and writing experience, including potential article co-authorship in peer-refereed journals.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Soil Science, Plant Science, Biology, Environmental Science, or other related fields and/or equivalent years of training and experience. This role supports execution of critical quality checkpoints and production alignment in modular shipbuilding programs including CVN (Aircraft Carrier), VCS (Virginia-Class Submarine), and ORP (Columbia-Class Submarine). The QC Technician ensures compliance to welding, structural fabrication, and traceability requirements while contributing to production support wherever needed to maintain schedule performance.

Perform visual weld inspections per NAVSEA and Newport News Shipbuilding PPD guidelines.

What You'll Do
Patient Assessment & Care
Perform precise and accurate laboratory testing according to established laboratory procedures.

Qualifications
High school equivalent and completion of NAACLS or two-part Phlebotomy program and performed 40 hours of classroom training, 100 hours of clinical training and 100 successful venipuncture (including skin punctures).
You have minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years performing venipunctures and finger-stick on patients from pediatric to geriatric patients. Experience must be counted following the completion of NAACLS or two-part Phlebotomy program from above.
Meet all health screening and vaccination requirements.
Ability to obtain base access and complete credentialing requirements
Prior experience in military or government healthcare settings is a plus.
References: We'll need you to provide two (2) letters of recommendation written within the last two (2) years attesting your clinical skills and attest your communication skills and ability to relate to patients as well as professional and other interpersonal skills among staff members. Both Reference Letters must include the name, title, phone number, date of reference, address and signature of the individual providing reference.
At least one (1) letter must be from a physician or supervisor who has personally observed and evaluated you and who can attest to your clinical skills in the care of patients.
The other letter may be from a clinic or hospital administrator, physician or nurse who has personal knowledge of your patient care skills in a similar clinical environment.

Quality Control Technician - Hybrid Production Support Department: Modules Division Reports To: Senior Program Manager - Modules Division 1. PURPOSE To support quality compliance and production readiness efforts within the Modules Division by performing visual inspections, procedure adherence checks, and documentation verification while providing supplemental fitting and welding support through TIGER Team assistance when required to ensure continuity of WIP modules.
2. POSITION SUMMARY
This role supports execution of critical quality checkpoints and production alignment in modular shipbuilding programs including CVN (Aircraft Carrier), VCS (Virginia-Class Submarine), and ORP (Columbia-Class Submarine). The QC Technician ensures compliance to welding, structural fabrication, and traceability requirements while contributing to production support wherever needed to maintain schedule performance.
3. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
* Perform visual weld inspections per NAVSEA and Newport News Shipbuilding PPD guidelines.
* Perform "in‑process" audits to verify work execution adheres to qualified procedures and inspection hold‑points.
* Verify OQE documentation compliance and production traveler traceability.
* Monitor work sequencing to ensure readiness for inspection and material availability.
* Document, classify, and report nonconformances and support corrective action activities.
* Support TIGER Team fitting and welding execution when needed to prevent schedule disruption.
* Assist with material staging, tooling readiness, and weld consumable oversight.
4. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
* 10 years Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) production trades experience required.
* Minimum 3 years Make‑Up / Team Lead / Foreman experience.
* 4‑year Trade School Apprenticeship graduate preferred.
* Ability to read 2D/3D build drawings and electronic work packages.
* Proficiency with structural fitting and welding fundamentals.
* Understanding of NAVSEA structural quality standards required.
* Strong communication abilities to elevate quality risks to leadership.
* Microsoft Office competency required.
5. CERTIFICATIONS
* Must be able to obtain VT Level II certification.
* Certified welder qualification preferred.

* Confirm drawings, OQE, and requirements prior to work execution.
