Position Schedule: M-F Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm Essential Duties: A Lab Assistant I may perform any of the following duties or groups of duties: Assemble, correlate and quality check completed histology cases Distribute completed slides to all pathologists File un-stained slides/tissue blocks Change, load, rotate, clean, and maintain processors Change, load, rotate, clean, and maintain staining instrumentation Reagent preparation and recycling Utilize companys internal software applications Restock supplies as needed Hazardous waste control Other duties as assigned Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Exhibit precise attention to detail Adaptable & flexible Time management skills and organization and the ability to multitask Has exceptional verbal and written communication skills Performs with a professional demeanor Able to perform well under pressure with a large work volume Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures and PPE requirements Qualifications/Experience: Minimum High school graduate Associates or Bachelors degree with emphasis in biology/chemistry/anatomy preferred Prior clinical medical setting or laboratory experience preferred Basic computer program & application skills Customer service experience.
