More information can be found at ************************* QUALIFICATIONS * A Bachelor's degree in life sciences, focusing on genetics, cell biology, molecular biology, or related biomedical fields. * Prior research experience (undergraduate research, summer internships, etc.) in a life science research laboratory. Previous experience with C. elegans or another genetic model system (e.g. yeast, flies, etc.) would be a plus. * Demonstrated ability to take initiative and handle responsibility and tasks in a reliable, high-quality, and efficient manner. * A motivated individual who shows strong interest in research and can work independently and in a team environment. * Excellent organizational and communication (oral and written) skills. Job Responsibilities: Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
