The Research Technician I will work independently under general supervision of Mark Albers, M.D., Ph.D. to assist postdoctoral fellow and junior faculty with molecular and cellular neurobiology techniques of cell culture, mouse husbandry, and mouse experiments including drug administration, dissection of olfactory epithelium and brain, sectioning of brain tissue, immunohistochemistry and quantitative microscopy. Expertise in animal husbandry, immunohistochemistry, PCR RT-PCR, and statistical analysis using standard packages such as R, SAS or SPSS will be preferred. Coordinating efforts with the other teams to prepare samples and libraries for proteomic and RNA-seq analyses in human cell lines and transgenic mouse models in this translational medicine project is essential.
