The ideal candidate will have prior laboratory experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. Key Responsibilities: Perform and coordinate calibration, maintenance, and verification activities for laboratory instruments and equipment. Schedule and manage external suppliers and service providers, including coordinating on-site visits, obtaining quotes, and ensuring timely contract renewals. Maintain and update equipment records, calibration schedules, and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Lead and support all administrative functions for the Metrology team, including documentation, tracking, reporting, and data organization. Collaborate with QC, AD, and Metrology teams to ensure equipment readiness, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Track and manage calibration and service schedules using Smartsheet, Excel, and other data management tools. Assist in audits and compliance reviews by maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation. Support troubleshooting efforts and vendor communications for metrology-related issues. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline preferred. This position is located at the Hillsborough Campus. The 163‐bed facility combines a community hospital culture with the innovative procedures and care for which the UNC Medical Center is known. The Hillsborough Hospital is located at 460 Waterstone Drive, Hillsborough, NC and offers free parking to employees. Night shifts (7:00pm ‐ 7:30pm) with weekend and holiday rotation. This position requires the ability to attend a week long orientation (Monday through Friday) which is offered every two weeks.
