Essential functions of position include, but are not limited to:

Required critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program preferred.
  • Two years of current experience in Cath lab may be substituted for completion of Radiology Technologist program or invasive cardiovascular technologist (CVT) program completion.
  • One-year Cardiac Cath Lab Technician experience required
  • Current BCLS certification required and maintained.
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment.
  • Active RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RT licensure preferred.
  • If a new Invasive CVT graduate, must attain credential within 1 year of eligibility date.
  • OJT with current 10 years or more of experience may be substituted for completion of Radiology Technologist program, Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program and RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).

JOB OVERVIEW:

HCA Midwest Health is hiring seasonal cardiac cath lab techs.

Seasonal Staffing Bonus Program: (October 2022 -January 2023)

Cardiac Cath Lab Tech: $49/hour with a completion bonus of $3500

  • One Year of Experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technician
  • Completion bonus to be paid to eligible employees after the successful completion of 16 consecutive weeks of employment while meeting all shift requirements during that time period.
  • All Seasonal RNs/LPNs/OR Techs/Cath Lab Techs/RRTs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period (based on selected level).
  • Two (2) weekend shifts are required each 4-week period if applicable.
  • OR and Cath Lab staff must meet FT call requirements during the seasonal period.
  • During the course of the 16-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts as defined by Department Manager or designee.
  • Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There is no guarantee of hours by the hospital. However, if employees are called off by the facility then they will still be eligible for the completion bonus.
  • Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401 (k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy
  • Staff members classified in the Seasonal Program are eligible for Critical Staffing Need Differential payments, when approved for their department and after they have completed three scheduled shifts in a week (i.e. 4th shift is paid at Critical Staffing Differential)
  • Shifts may vary based on needs of the department.
  • After the completion period has been met, employees are eligible to apply to open FT/PT/PRN vacancies.
  • Based on business needs, the seasonal program can be ended at any time.
