Inspect production materials and products, prepare samples and conduct testing to ensure compliance with DOT, customer, and Company standards on all materials. Prepare and maintain accurate data of testing results. Prepare various reports, work with outside vendors, agencies, and customers, and formulate specific recommendations to resolve or correct quality issues.
Functional Responsibilities

Inspect, sample, and conduct routine and special laboratory testing on construction aggregates, masonry products and Ready-Mix concrete in conformance with appropriate standard test methods.
Ensure quality of products during production, shipping, and at jobsites.
Communicate test results to supervisors and properly document the results in a database.
Prepare statistical summary quality reports.
Troubleshoot plant and jobsite problems.
Visually inspect material sources, stockpiles, and truckloads at ready-mix batch plants.
Conduct testing and assist in plant calibrations to ensure product quality.
Verify outside construction materials testing laboratory results and maintain accurate, timely records of test data, product quality and defective materials.
Complies with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other Company policies and procedures.

At start of shift, review daily Variable Speed Drive Cabinet Intake and any applicable rush jobs. Verify associated equipment is in the Digital Document System and input information if it is not present. Print associated QR codes from Digital Document System and affix them to unit. Perform throughout day as workflow changes.
Determine workflow and prioritize tasks for that day.
Perform Daily Pre-Use Calibration Checks on all Precision Measuring Equipment. Ensure all equipment's unique identifiers are clearly visible and legible.
Stage all inbound crates or existing pre-system stock in QC area for determined daily inspection and notify or return to inventory post inspection process.
Verify all received MTRs to Material Specification Sheets and perform hardness validation test on a sample from each lot/batch.
Dimensionally measure assigned lot/batch per Inspection Ratio Guidelines per print criteria callouts, including 100% sealing surface and critical point inspection on each lot/batch. Complete inspection reports and upload a copy of inspection report, print utilized for inspection and MTR verification into Digital Document System.
Verify each in process and testing station has entered their associated Digital Document System criteria for all work performed that day. Ensure all pictures, videos and work verification steps have been completed and uploaded before approving units to be released for storage or shipping. If documentation is not present, have associated technician perform their job duties.
Take custody, quarantine and complete Non-Conformance Reports and Management Team notifications as necessary based on inbound, in-process or testing non-conforming product.
Work with operations to ensure the transfer of all records from the Digital Document System to associated Well Intelligence job files.
Enter new equipment and precision instruments for calibration into the Digital Document System as needed.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Safely performs analytical testing (quality control testing, manufacturing plant technical support and evaluation of new sources of raw materials and finished products)
