Reporting to the Manager Scientific Affairs you'll perform laboratory test preparation activities and analyses to provide useful, accurate technical information to necessary personnel.
Responsibilities:
Understand and follow laboratory management system policies and procedures.
Understand and follow laboratory safety policies and procedures.
Receive and prepare incoming samples for analysis
Receive laboratory supplies and equipment; distribute to laboratory staff members.
Run laboratory equipment, including autoclave, dishwasher, media pump, etc.
Input sample information and testing requirements into LIMS.
Follow written procedures to perform analytical testing on laboratory samples.
Prepare standard calibration solutions, media, buffers, working standards and other reagents/solutions for test methods.
Maintain stock of supplies; communicate needs to purchasing agent.
Import and export test results and other information between laboratory computers and LIMS.
Maintain accurate records of all test work in laboratory notebooks.
Perform routine maintenance on lab equipment; troubleshoot and repair.
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Assist senior laboratory staff with extraction, digestion and other sample preparation for complex analyses.
Calculate and interpret data generated from laboratory instrumentation; identify and isolate non-conforming work and make appropriate corrections.
Identify areas of improvement for test methods and technical procedures; initiate action plans.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in a Science (Chemistry, Biology or Microbiology).
Minimum 1 year of related experience.
Experience with Excel - Intermediate level, PowerPoint, LIMS system, and a variety of analytical test equipment.
Experience performing test methods and technical procedures.
Will need to explain technical terms to non-technical audience
Physical requirements:
Ability to stand for up to 6 hours a day performing tests in a pilot plant or plant (may be wet) environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Abilit to handle different smells

Compensation:
Pay Range:$42,000-$55,000

Position Summary:
ClearChoice dental laboratory technicians work onsite at the dentist office to fill prescriptions from those dentists. A Brief Overview
Under the direct supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse/Lactation Consultant and Registered Dietitian, the Nutrition Lab Technician performs technical functions associated with breastmilk and nutritional formula collection, preparation and distribution in accordance with specific provisions, standards, and governing professional organization regulations. Depending upon assignment, the principal areas of breastmilk/formula collection, preparation and distribution may include unit dose or large batch dosing, specialized breastmilk skimming, inventory management, infection prevention and related tasks, as required. Maintain established quality and safety measures per department procedures. Customer service, teamwork and communication are critical job functions.
Essential Functions
The nutrition lab tech demonstrates knowledge and execution of a skillset necessary to meet the needs of daily operations in the Nutrition Center. They understand appropriate interpretation of the EMR formula and breastmilk orders. They respond to and triage requests from nursing, caregiver(s)/family, providers, and other ancillary support team members in a timely manner. They appropriately utilize and manage technology used in the day-to-day preparation, labeling and delivery of nutritional feedings and complete regulatory compliance inspection of all formula and nutritional modular products received in the Nutrition Center and other storage areas. • Breastmilk Procedures (Twice Daily): This role requires breastmilk collection from patient bedside to be performed safely, accurately and in a timely manner. The tech receives breastmilk properly into Timeless Women's & Infants™ system for inventory management and properly stores received breastmilk in designated refrigerators or freezers. Fortified feedings need to be prepared accurately per the provider order twice daily, using aseptic technique and unit dosing. When skimmed milk is ordered, the tech must properly skim breastmilk using the designated centrifuge. The tech must ensure prepared feedings are held properly at controlled temperature prior to delivery and deliver prepared feedings to the bedside refrigerator in a safe and timely manner. • Donor Human Milk (DHM) This role requires maintenance of DHM inventory (ordering, receiving, storage) following HMBANA regulations for safe storage and usage of DHM. The tech must properly prepare fortified feedings using DHM when ordered. • Formula Procedures (Once Daily): This role requires ordered formula preparation using aseptic technique in 24-hour batch dosing. The tech must ensure prepared feedings are held properly at controlled temperature prior to delivery and deliver prepared formula feedings to the bedside refrigerator in a safe and timely manner, removing any expired formula products.
Office Tasks: • Demonstrate strong and effective communication skills intra- and interdepartmentally. • Oversight for quality and safety review and daily report out (i.e. Eye On Safety). • Skilled in ordering office supplies and lab supplies using various ordering modes. • Oversight of all daily cleaning processes per policy and procedure. • Maintenance of daily temperature logs per policy and procedure. • Lead service recovery efforts quickly.
Inventory Management: • Responsible for managing breastmilk inventory using Timeless Women's & Infants™ software. • Responsible for maintaining established product stock levels of formula, DHM, modulars and other supplies within the Nutrition Center as well as patient care areas. • Rotates inventory based on FIFO procedures for optimal expiration date management. • Collaboration with Central Supply team on receiving and delivery of products. • Effectively respond to product recall alerts per policy and procedure.

Prepares staff schedules and evaluates staff timecards on a regular basis. Monitors fiscal budget to control operational expenditures while monitoring and adjusting staffing patterns to meet or exceed productivity targets.
Coaches and promotes accountability to team members concerning their job performance and development. Education
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent clinical job training.
Licenses & Certifications
Minimum of two registries in Adult Cardiac Sonography (RDCS-AE) and Vascular Technology (RVT) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
Effective 01/01/2019, all current associates who hold a CCI or ARRT ultrasound registry prior to this date will not be required to obtain an ARDMS registry in their current modality. Any subsequent registries must be obtained through the ARDMS.
Must possess a valid driver's license.

Position Summary
The successful candidate will operate within a manufacturing laboratory environment, specializing in mammalian cell culture practices and techniques. Key responsibilities include:
Laboratory Operations: Execute and optimize mammalian cell culture protocols to ensure high-quality production outcomes.
Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) by meticulously understanding, following, and completing all required process documentation.
Safety and Quality Assurance: Implement and uphold stringent safety policies related to biological and chemical materials and equipment, ensuring the protection of personnel and the maintenance of product integrity.
Hours: 1st Shift, 6:00am - 2:30pm. Off shift, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
Position Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key tasks within a manufacturing laboratory setting:
Production Operations: Execute processes and operate equipment essential for the production of bulk viral antigens.
Cell Culture Practices: Apply advanced cell culture techniques pertinent to viral and antibody production.
Downstream Processing: Operate and manage equipment for downstream processing of production bulk fluids, including tangential flow filtration, hollow-fiber filtration, and sterile filtration.
Equipment Maintenance: Utilize expertise in bioreactors, fermentors, and support equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues, ensuring optimal equipment performance.
Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) by accurately understanding, following, and completing all necessary process documentation.
Safety and Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous safety policies related to biological and chemical materials and equipment, safeguarding personnel, and ensuring product quality.
The job level will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
Education and Experience
Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent required. A Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biological Sciences or additional coursework in biological sciences is preferred.
Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience in biological production and/or aseptic manufacturing.
Technical Skills and Competencies Required
Mechanical and Troubleshooting Skills: Basic proficiency in mechanical operations and troubleshooting.
Cell Culture Expertise: Familiarity with mammalian cell culture practices and techniques is desirable.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Technical Proficiency: Competent in computer skills and possessing a working knowledge of the metric system.
